The admin of the page has been slacking slightly due to broken phones and just being himself really…🤣 but we are back
Recent results have seen us have an undefeted start to the season winning 3 league games and 2 cup matches!! recent of the lot was saturdays county cup game!
We didnt know very much about the opposition other then they are undefeated winning 10 from 10 and with it being the county cup we knew we had a tough game. It was a fast paced game from the off both sides attacking and really going for it, then around the 30th minute mark disaster for the dalians as Declan barry shouted over to the managers signaling he had to come off which we knew was serious as declan wouldnt come off if someone hit him with a train. The tempo from ourside dropped ever so slightly but after a great defending from Jordan Simmonds who put us straight onto the attack with a ball up, it bounced around the box a few times before sam holt got it under control swiveled his hips to shoot and finds the bottom corner for 1-0!!! Stoneclough pushed back and within 15 minutes they had a very easy equaliser which saw the game out to half time.
Second half the dalians was right back at it, winning loose balls, fighting for every second ball and looked very good. A couple shots from dalians resulted in a couple of corners and with 10 minutes to go a delightful ball from lewis greaves met by Danny harrop ( who was a man possessed today ) and Danny guided that ball into the top corner like a prime thiago silva. We had ten minutes to see the game out but Stoneclough kept applying the pressure none stop and with the last 10 seconds a mistake from the referee ( i say mistake because after the game he said to me hes got to go with attacker advantage but wasn’t sure whether it was a foul ) awarded a penalty which they stepped up and scored… final whistle blew and penalties it went too!!
Stone Clough stepped up first and Josh barnes SAVES!!
