Four people. Four completely different starting points.

Ram was overweight, unfit and needed structure. Isabelle didn't have the confidence to walk into a gym in years. Faith was nervous about even touching the machines. Nigel was convinced he could sort his own workouts out and didn't need a coach at all.

Swipe πŸ‘‰ and read what they said.

The bit I'm proudest of isn't the transformations. It's the line from Nigel who said he's still using the plan I built him, months after we finished. Anyone can make you sore for six weeks. I want you still training next year and the year after that.

That's what online coaching with me is: a plan built around your goals, your schedule and your equipment, with check-ins so you're never guessing at the weight, the reps, or whether that ni**le is normal.

A few spots open for September. DM me "COACHING" and I'll ask a few questions to see if we're a fit. If we're not, I'll tell you straight.

Military Press Technique

24/06/2026

Learn how to conduct the Military Press.

The Military Press is done with a barbell and will work your shoulders and triceps.

1. Set up correctly
2. Brace the core
3. Think Mike Tyson gut punch πŸ‘Š
4. Squeeze the glutes.
5. Posture. Squeeze a pencil between your shoulder blades.
6. Have you hands just outside the width of your shoulders.
7. Push the bar to the sky with intent, push that bar like you mean it.
8. Lower under control.

Deadlift technique video - Technique Tuesday.

If you are new to deadlifting or want tips to better your form this video will help you.

Personally I think the Deadlift is the best weighted exercise to increase your strength as it uses most of the muscles in your body.

1. Step up to the bar, with the bar over your mid foot. Allowing for a small gap (1 inch) between your shin and the bar.

2. Roll your shoulders back, be proud of what you are doing.

3. Imagine there is a pencil inbetween your shoulder blades. Do not allow this pencil to drop tnroughout the movment.

4. Brace the core. Think Mike Tyson is about to punch you in the gut.

5. Hinge at the hips and lower yourself down to the bar.

6. Grab the bar with your hands, using your prefered grip, knuckles away, or a mixed grip.

7. Make sure the bar is now touching your shin.

8. Straighten your arms. They will be just wider than your shoulders.

9. Bring the slack out of the bar by lifting it slightly.

10. Using your legs push off the ground.

11. Roll the bar up your shins.

12. When the bar reaches your knees stand fully up.

13. Remember to keep your core braced and that pencil (see 3.) between your shoulders.

14. Once standing fully up, do not over extend your back. Just stand up straight.

15. Lower the weight under controll. Straight down to the floor. Keeping your core braced.

Whilst lifting do not arch your back, think McDonalds arches are bad. If they do arch try dropping the weight or resetting yourself and trying again.

Arching of the back is common with people who are lifting a weight that is too heavy for them.

This video is the first in the Technique Tuesday series.

If you have any other exercises you need me to demo let me know.

When you are coming back from an injury or ni**le take it nice and slow.

Imagine getting into a hot bath, you dont know how hot it will feel so you tentativley dip your toe in. Otherwise you'll burn your bum πŸ˜‚

Likewise when coming back from an injury or ni**le, slowly edge your self in, do less reps and weight and allow an extra set to warm up. Don't dive straight in and redo the injury or create another ni**le!!

This angle has done DIRTY!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Thumbnail is definatley AI, theres no way I am looking like that after coming back from an injury.
