Huge congratulations to Amanda Peirson and Clair Jones for an amazing win and great score at the North Area Final of the County Foursomes held at Catterick Golf Club on Monday.

Amanda and Clair produced an outstanding performance, finishing with an excellent score beating a field of 86 other pairs from across the North Yorkshire area.

The top 15 pairs have now qualified for the County Final which is being held on Thursday 13 August at Wetherby Golf Club.

We wish Amanda and Clair the very best of luck in the final and look forward to following their progress. Well done on a tremendous achievement!

Last Sunday RGC ladies section Queen Bee Trophy competition took place. This annual event is played in honour of Anne Thorpe-Lawson, a former Lady Captain and Club Champion whose passion for the game left a lasting impact on women’s golf at the club.

Huge congratulations to this year’s overall Queen Bee Trophy winner, Amanda Peirson, who also secured victory in Division Two, with Clair Jones as runner-up.

In Division One, Mary Ann Hide came first, with Karen Jobling finishing as runner-up.

Additional prize winners were:

⛳ Karen Jobling – Nearest the Pin in Two (3rd hole) and Longest Drive (17th hole)
⛳ Andrea Offord – Nearest the Pin (9th hole)
⛳ Ellie Thorpe – Nearest the Pin (12th hole)

The prizes were presented by Mark Thorpe, Anne Thorpe-Lawson’s son, who spoke about his mother’s love of the game and her commitment to supporting women golfers.

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to everyone who took part in another fantastic Queen Bee Trophy competition.
