Couple of spaces left on my classes for the rest of the week.

Tomorrow evening at 7.30pm I have Activate at Liberty Health Club . A Barbell and weights based full body workout.

On Friday lunchtime at 12 I have Aquafit at Richmond Swimming Pool.

One thing that is always the same about training is that nothing outside of the gym matters while you’re in there, it's an escape from real life for that little while.

The gym treats everyone equally.

The gym isn’t bothered what’s going on in your personal life, work life, relationships, family life and so on, and for the time you're there, you don't need to be either.

It’s a place to go where everybody is equal & trying to better themselves, and if you’re not having the best day, it’ll be there again tomorrow, and the day after, and the day after that one too.

Going to the gym can be about how you look and feel, but it’s also so much more that that, it’s a place that everyone can go to and aim to be a little bit better each day, to escape from real life for an hour and to focus on looking after you.

I also have space in my other class this week. I will be teaching Aquafit this and every Friday 12-1pm at Richmond Swimming Pool. Low impact on the joints but high impact on the quality and calories burned. Why not come give it a go and find out how water based exercise is some of the best you can do. I have a couple of spaces left for my classes for the rest of the week. At Liberty Health Club I have Activate this evening (Thursday) at 7.30pm. A fantastic full body workout involving barbells and dumbbells choreographed to music to burn those calories away. Get that workout in before those toffee apples make an appearance! I can be a bit crap at doing recordings of my clients during our sessions as I'm usually too focused on coaching them and during the sessions (although I'm aware of the benefits of social media as a PT and its use of advertising my services) so having said that here's a few seconds of my amazing client Christine doing some kettlebell swings....

Don’t waste time doing something you don't enjoy. If you don’t enjoy what you do, you simply won't do it or you won't do it to a high standard as you don't really want to be there.

The same goes for your training. If you don't enjoy what you do in the gym, sooner rather than later you will stop exercising. You will create a bad relationship with the gym and exercise and the goals you have set for yourself will become unattainable.

You should look forward to training and if you're not, you need to look at the reasons why that's the case.
What can be done differently? What can be changed to make you enjoy it?

You should enjoy your training, and if you do I guarantee the results will speak for themselves

Great session with Christine this morning. 35 minute AMRAP with some of the exercises shown such as squats, lunges, kettlebell swings and core work. Her physical and mental strength has increased incredibly since we started working together last year. Over half a stone lost and double digit inches! All this whilst increasing our strength and muscle definition to achieve an overall healthy and strong body
