This week saw Team Caterpillar represented on one of the toughest trail races in the country.

A massive congratulations to Phil who completed the Spine Challenger North this morning. An incredible achievement covering huge miles across some of the most challenging terrain and conditions the UK has to offer. What a performance. 👏

The Montane Spine Race isn’t a race that gives guarantees, though. Rye and Tom both took on the Spine Sprint North after months of training, preparation and commitment. Unfortunately, stomach issues brought their races to an early end.

But sometimes the biggest achievement is simply standing on the start line.

The Spine has humbled some of the best runners around, and there is absolutely no shame in a DNF when you’ve had the courage to give it a go. Every training run, every early morning, every mile banked and every lesson learned still counts.

One runner crossed the finish line. Two didn’t. All three took on a challenge most people wouldn’t even consider.

And for that, we’re incredibly proud of every one of them.

A huge well done to everyone who took on the Leeds 10K today!

A special mention to Deb, who completed her very first 10K race. What an achievement and what a way to do it, taking on a city-centre event with thousands of runners, incredible crowds and an atmosphere that’s hard to beat. 💙🧡

We hope everyone enjoyed every mile and soaked up the race-day vibes from start to finish.

Thank you to Jane Tomlinson's Run For All for organising another fantastic event.

What a day at the inaugural Bedale Bolt! ⚡

With 570 runners taking part, Team Caterpillar turned out in force and made our presence felt from start to finish.

A huge congratulations to Anna Woroniuk, who stormed to 1st Female overall 🏆, while Eleanor Clulow delivered an outstanding performance to finish 4th Female and take the Senior Female age category win – one of the most competitive categories on the day. Thomas Kenny also had a fantastic run, finishing as first Caterpillar male home and securing 2nd place in his age group.

But today wasn’t just about results.

What stood out most was the atmosphere. The support on the course, the encouragement between runners, and the camaraderie throughout the day reminded us exactly why we love this sport.

A massive thank you to the organisers Bedale and Aiskew Runners, marshals, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes. So much effort goes into putting on an event like this, and for a first edition, Bedale Bolt absolutely delivered.

It was brilliant to see so many runners, supporters and local people out enjoying the event, before many of us rounded off the afternoon with a few well-earned drinks at The Green Dragon 🍻

For many of us, this one will take some beating. An incredible inaugural event and undoubtedly one of the highlights of the race calendar so far.🩵💖💜🧡💛🐛

A windy day, rolling hills and one of the most iconic race backdrops in the country. 🏰

A small Team Caterpillar road trip headed north for the Bamburgh Castle 10K, taking on a challenging route that started beneath the castle before heading out into the Northumberland countryside.

A fantastic event, brilliantly organised, and made even better by bumping into the fabulous Amanda Winstanley from Fit Yoga Group for a pre-race warm-up.

A special mention too to Rachel, who tackled the route alongside Chloè-louise Turner from Darlo Runners an absolute powerhouse who gives so much back to her running community and always there supporting others along the way. Together they smashed it. 🧡

Of course, no trip to the coast would be complete without fish and chips in Seahouses before the journey home. 🚗🍟

Well done to everyone who took on the challenge and represented the club so brilliantly.
