🏹🇨🇦 𝙍𝙚𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝘾𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 🍁🏹
Yesterday my home club Redruth Archers Official hosted our Canadian Tournament this is the same as a WA900 + another distance.
I shot the ladies which was 2 and half dozen arrows at 60m, 50m, 40m and 30m
This was only my 2nd time shooting this round and first time with the Compound and let’s just say the wind came out to play.. again.. 🫣
I put into practice what I had learnt the previous weekend and what I’ve been working on since with my new release process and it started to come together 😊
I was really pleased with how I shot especially when I was consistent with my new release process the arrows were landing well and grouping much better then they had so I was over the moon to finish on 1075/1200 and 𝐈 𝐚𝐥𝐬𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 out of everyone 🥳 🥇
The highlight was yet to come because 𝙎𝙪𝙗𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙍𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙉𝙏𝙔 𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙊𝙍𝘿!! 😃🥳
Massive thank you to my lane buddies Michaela and Alan for a fab day and for pulling my arrows for me and of course my club for putting on a fab day with a special shout out to Tony for organising it all and those who helped leading up to and on the day of the tournament 😊
Now to get back to my WA50m practice ahead of the next round of Archery GB National Tour in just under 2 weeks 🏹🏹

🦌 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗔𝟳𝟮𝟬 + 𝗛𝟮𝗛𝘀 🏹
Last weekend I headed up to Cheltenham to Deer Park archers outdoor for the first time and let’s just say the weather was far from kind ☔️💨
Definitely the worst and hardest conditions I’ve ever shot in fighting the wind constantly so I was really pleased I managed to complete the shoot 😊

I was down a lot on points finishing qualifications on 530 however considering the wind I am really pleased and this is still up on scores I finished last season on so got to take the positives especially keeping to my shoot process despite the conditions being hard 😊
Massive thank you to Darren and jack ward and Kevin for scoring and pulling my arrows for me and all your help alongside everyone else who helped me especially when I had hold of my tent and it was in the air 💨😂
Huge thank you to everyone at for being so welcoming and for putting on a fab shoot and ensuring we all had a great day and I cannot wait to come again 😊

Archery shopping hall 🫶

I have needed a new bow case for a while, as much as I love my current one, when pulling it behind my wheelchair it would flip over and I was so worried it would damage my precious bow so in comes my new Legend Everest 44” bow case, love how many separate storage sections there and can’t wait to try out towing behind my chair tomorrow 😊

I also finally got hold of one of the umbrellas which I’ve been wanting for ages! 😃 (definitely think I’ll need that at the comp this weekend 🫣☔️)

I also got:
A 720 V bar, of course in purple and can’t wait to get that set up
Some new Easton pin nocks in a couple different colours incase someone else on my target has the same colour
A new scope cover (this is definitely going to be needed at the weekend 💧
Alongside some new stretch bands for warming up before shooting 😊

Now I’m just keeping everything crossed the weather clears up for the weekend 🤞🤞

Lovely few hours down the field having a shoot with little man this afternoon 🐶🏹
Today I was working on some of tweaks I’ve made to my shot process to try and get some more consistency to improve my scores on a 720 round
My body was struggling today so did what I could and worked through it and decided to score a 3 dozen round of the 720 (wanted to see if my scores last weekend was a fluke 😂)
However was really pleased to score 312/360, just need to keep practicing and I know the scores will come 😊🏹

☀️🏹 𝙒𝙍𝙎 𝘿𝙤𝙪𝙗𝙡𝙚 720 𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙭𝙝𝙖𝙢 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 🥉☀️
Yesterday I attended a very el’scorchio Brixham to shoot their Double 720, this was a last minute decision when a space became available to shoot my first Double 720 of the year 😊
A bit of tweaking to my sight my during the sighters and first few ends but started to find my rhythm and following my shot process to finish the first 720 round with a 313 and 299 which meant I ended on 612 beating my PB by 69 points 😃
I struggled in the second 720 as the heat was definitely presenting challenges, lots of fluids and encouragement from my target buddies I pushed through and managed to finish the second 720 on 290 and 307 which meant I ended the round on 597, although I dropped 15 points on the morning round I was still very happy to finish the double on 1209/1440 beating my double PB by 252 points!! 🥳🥳
I was also pleased as managed to get an all gold end for the first time in this round and to finish off an amazing day I brought home a 🥉completing my first 12 dozen round of the year 😃
Time to get some more practice of 720’s under my belt over the next couple weeks before my next comp at Deer Park Archers for their 720 + H2H’s 😃🏹

The reason the emotions are so high and my eyes have been leaking a lot as well as been struggling to put into words.. On Saturday when I attended the amazing event The Worshipful Company of Fletchers and Fletchers Trust prize day for archers with a disability I was presented with the Des Clarke Memorial Trophy for 2026, this prestigious award means the absolute world 🥹
The support for everyone especially the support from Worshipful Company of Fletchers and the Fletchers Trust has enabled me to continue my passion in archery and find a real purpose 🥹🏹
Thank you all again so much for the very special award 💛🖤

On Saturday I was very honoured to be invited to The Worshipful Company of Fletchers day for archers with a disability and I had the most special day 😊
The grounds of the Archers lodge is absolutely stunning and would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Royal Tox and to The Fletchers for hosting this day 😊
The whole day was amazing, we were looked after so well, the food was delicious, was lovely to catch up with so many other others as well as meeting lots of new people 😊
I was over the moon with how I shot, smashing my PB by 92 points, finally gaining my Archery GB 6 gold end badge and was shocked to find out I won the ladies compound Albion 🥇🏆 😊 massive well done to my fellow lady compounds you all did amazing as well as all the archers there 🏹
I had a lovely time being on the same lane and shooting with massive thank you Debs and Sabs for all your help and support, it was so lovely to finally shoot alongside you Debs 😊
There were some very special tears at prize giving when I won a very prestigious award which I was not expecting and will be a separate post for this special award 🏆
I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in running the day and to everyone making this day so special I really feel honoured to not only been invited but also to share the day with all the amazing people there and a massive thank you to The Fletchers for their continued support within my archery journey as without my new bow you supported me for i would not be here shooting and improving all the time THANK YOU EVERYONE 🫶

🥈 Ｇｒａｎｄ Ｄａｙ ２０２６ 🏹
03/05/2026 is the annual DCAS Grand Day at shooting a National round.
The forecast was not looking great however the rain and thunder held off and turned out to be a nice day to shoot
I wasn’t prepared enough being so early in the season (and the weather being so rubbish here in Cornwall) I went with a rough 60y sight mark and having to guess my 50y .. safe to say I wasn’t too far out, my sighters weren’t to bad but let myself down on the first scoring arrow I threw it high in the blue but I just put my game face on and forgot about that and kept focusing on the next arrow to shoot (this is a big win for me being able to forget about a bad arrow and concentrate on the next) 😊
After that I managed to stay within the Gold (51 of them)/Red finishing on 604/648 landing me a 🥈 and beat my PB by 68 points!! 🏹
I am overall really pleased with how I shot being my first 60y/50y with the Revolution and really looking forward to seeing how the season progresses 😊
Lots to work on and get that practice in to get my groups tighter and stay in the gold a bit more but here’s to the 2026 outdoor season 😁
Massive thanks to Ann from DCAS for organising it, the judges and of course to Exeter Company of Archers for hosting it and all the work they did to make the day run so smoothly, of course a thanks to my fab target mates for making it a great day and of course scoring and pulling my arrows for me 😁🏹

🏹 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙜𝙚 1 𝘽𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙮 🏹
On Sunday I headed to Lilleshall for my first ever National Tour competition and what an amazing experience and amazing day it was 😊
It was my first outdoor comp of the season and first comp with my Revolution and definitely didn’t feel prepared but despite the wind having quite an impact I’m really pleased with how the day went finishing only 4 points off@my PB with my old compound (technically a PB with my new bow) and it can only get better as the season goes on and a pleasant surprise I finished in a better position then I thought I would I didn’t come bottom so massive win for me 🏹
Had the best morning shooting with fab company of .chappell.archery and thank you ladies for a lovely time shooting and massive thanks for the support and for scoring and pulling my arrows for me and huge well done to you both ☺️
Then the afternoon I went into the H2H shooting against the amazing who shot amazing taking the win 140-120 thank you for making it a fun H2H, being only my 3rd time doing one so thank you ☺️
massive thanks to Layla one of the lovely judges who was my agent for the H2H scoring and pulling my arrows ☺️
Overall I had the best day and what an experience to of shot at my first ever NT in only my second year shooting compound 🏹
Now time to put into practice some things I identified and get some more practice in before UK masters in June👌
Next competition is this Sunday which will be Grand Day with DCAS (definitely not prepared as I’ve only just got rough sight marks) but still early in the outdoor season yet and I’m determined to put the work and practice in, keep showing up and keep getting better 😃
