💙 PRE-SEASON: ALMOST COMPLETE! 💙

And just like that, we’re into the final few days of pre-season! ⚽️🔥

It’s been a busy 48 hours for the girls, welcoming Mancunian Unity on Friday before Bury FC visited us today — and what a couple of games it’s been!

The girls have been absolutely fantastic. The fitness, intensity, attitude and quality on show has been brilliant, and they’ve certainly shown that they’re ready for the season ahead. There’s still work to do, but the signs are VERY promising! 👀💙

Tuesday brings one final pre-season test against the boys, and then… IT’S SEASON TIME! 🦁🔥

Today was also a special one as we said goodbye — for now — to our fantastic loanee Rhiannon from Vasco da Gama, Bermuda 🇧🇲💙

Rhiannon, you’ve been an absolute pleasure to have around, both on and off the pitch. 3 goals in 3 games says everything about the threat you’ve brought to this team! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

We’ve now got the small matter of trying to replace those goals… and that’s going to be one BIG job! 😂

Thank you for everything, Rhiannon. We genuinely hope this isn’t goodbye for long — we can’t wait to see you again soon! 💙🇧🇲

A huge thank you to Mancunian Unity and Bury FC for joining us and being fantastic guests. Two brilliant games, played in the right spirit, and exactly what pre-season should be about. 👏⚽️

Thankyou Cadishead Sports JFC for being such brilliant guests last night, thankyou for making Rhiannon from Vasco youth program feel so welcome. It was very special that such a great community can invite football from the other side of the world to be apart of us. Good luck for the season.

Another good run out tonight against Cadishead Emeralds as the Tigers continue their preseason preparations. 🎉⚽️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARPER! ⚽️🎉

What an incredible birthday to remember! 🥳💙

Today, Harper made her Doncaster debut — her family’s home club — and to make the occasion even more special, she bagged herself a goal! ⚽️🔥

I’ll never forget the moment Harper’s dad told me she had succeeded in her trials for Doncaster and was taking the next step in her football journey. After three years of having the absolute pleasure of coaching Harper, watching her develop, grow in confidence and progress as a player has been incredibly special.

There’s always a little bit of happy sadness when a player you’ve coached takes that next step. But then came the best news…

Harper can still play for Irlam! 😍💙

The emotions are honestly difficult to describe. Knowing that she can continue her journey with Doncaster while still being part of our Irlam family is something we’re incredibly grateful for.

Harper, Irlam Steel will support you every step of the way! 💙⚽️
