Just been reading up on TYPTI and trying to make sense of its rules, before trying it out.
There doesn't seem to be one source of truth for these (yet?) and there are some glaring inconsistencies the most egregious of which involved the serve and the Body Strike rule (various interpretations- no nasty nelson, if it hits a receiver play continues, you can chest the ball directly back over the net, or head it before it bounces, BUT there is also the two bounce rule - which over rides that. So I've tried to rewrite it thusly:
"**1. The First Floor Bounce Law**
If a serve strikes a receiving player or their equipment before bouncing on the floor, the play remains live only if its very first floor bounce lands inside the correct service ("in") box.
Inside the Box: The ball is live. The returner must play it off that bounce.
Anywhere Else: If the first floor bounce lands out of bounds, in the wrong box, or on the server’s side of the net, it is an instant fault on the receiving team (Server wins the point).
2. The Net-Rescue Addendum
If the serve strikes a receiving player and flies directly into the net mesh (or tape) before touching the ground, the ball remains live.
The Rescue: Either receiving player may hit the ball off the net mesh to keep it in the air.
The Condition: The rescued ball must be directed so that its subsequent first floor bounce lands inside the correct service ("in") box.
The Finish: Once the ball bounces in the box, the returner must successfully hit it over the net to continue the rally.
"
This allows for some of the games other unique logic to persist... While doing away with any interpretations of intentionality.
