My yoga journey began in 2012 as an attempt to relieve my agonising lower back pain which caused sleepless nights and made life quite unenjoyable. This came as a result of detesting my 6 foot tall body and subsequently triding to hide my stature by slouching; a habit i'd developed as a teenager. From doing yoga daily the pain rapidly eliminated and I began practising the art of standing tall.... l
ike a tree upon this earth... while the stories of fear and false beliefs flowed past me like leaves blowing in the wind. Other benefits of yoga that I was not expecting started appearing into my life - body appreciation, a better relationship with myself, posture rehabilitation, better breathing habits, honing of my inner goddess, the ability to find solutions more easily to life's day-to-day problems, gratitude for EVERYTHING, a s l o w e r m i n d , and so much more. I am certified to teach Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Aerial yoga. I also studied The Science of Stretching (YogaBody Naturals) and my field of expertise is flexibility and inversions/ arm balances. I worked for two studios in Sheffield before setting up Sheffield Community Yoga - a donation based setting with the focus on making yoga as accessible as possible. Since the lockdown of 2020 I have been teaching online (corporate yoga) for Workplace Wellbeing Sheffield and have ran classes for Rising Soul Retreat in Bulgaria. I don't take life too seriously so expect some frivolous FUN classes where we will work together to reach your goals, whatever they may be.
