We’re delighted to announce the double signing of defender Rhys Murgatroyd and central midfielder Jameel Mills, both joining us from Billingham Town Development
Rhys, who predominantly plays at centre-half, made his debut on Saturday in our defeat to Haughton-le-Skerne, where he was voted Player of the Match. Still only 17, Rhys enjoyed an outstanding season last year at Billingham, being voted Managers’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season.
Jameel, who can operate as a central midfielder, defensive midfielder and, on the rare occasion he’s called upon, can also do a job at centre-half, joins Rhys in making the move across.
‘Jam’, who has also played for Billingham and Tees FC, is another excellent addition to the squad and brings plenty of versatility and quality to the group.
Two young players with plenty of potential, and we’re delighted to have them both on board.
