Along the way, the team produced some incredible performances, including a remarkable 25-0 away victory and a dominant 13-0 home win. The attacking football, defensive resilience, work rate and togetherness shown throughout the campaign made this a season to remember.

From the first whistle in August to lifting the trophy, every player played their part. Those cold, wet training nights, long away trips and countless hours of hard work have all paid off.

As coaches, we couldn’t be prouder of what this group has achieved. Not only have they become champions, they’ve represented the club with pride, commitment and togetherness from start to finish.

A huge thank you to all the parents, volunteers and supporters who have backed the lads every step of the way. Your support has been invaluable throughout the season.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all of our sponsors. Your support throughout the season has helped provide opportunities for the players and has played a huge part in making this successful campaign possible. Well… that’s a wrap. And what a wrap it is.

Marske United U18s are officially TJFA Division One Champions.

Not quite the dramatic last‑day decider we had planned, but we’ll take it all the same.

Our game against Marton, today at the John Keegan Stadium has been postponed, as they unfortunately couldn’t field a side. Not how we wanted to win it, but three points is three points… we’re not handing them back.

It’s been a brilliant season from start to finish. Plenty of highs, a few “how have we not won that?” moments but that’s football, and it all adds to the story.

Winning 13 out of 16, scoring 88 goals, and putting together a run of results that included a 25–0, a 13–0, an 8–2, a 7–3, a 6–5, a 6–1, a 5–0, and a 5–2… that’s not normal. That’s a team playing fearless football, week after week.

We’ve beaten every team in the division. We’ve gone away to tough grounds and come back with big wins. We’ve come from behind, we’ve dug in, we’ve blown teams away, and we’ve shown character every time it mattered. Even the setbacks , the 0–3 against Grangetown, the cup exit after leading 2–0 against Billingham United, they shaped us, sharpened us, and pushed us on.

I did have my sights set on hitting the 100‑goal mark, and that would have been tonight objective, but it turns out we decided to be polite and save a few for the next chapter.

Every single player has played a massive part, this wasn’t about individuals, this was a full squad effort. Everyone’s contributed, whether it was goals, graft, or just turning up when it was freezing and nobody really fancied it.

Massive thanks from me to all the lads , those cold, wet Thursday night training sessions (that everyone definitely loved…) were worth their weight in gold.

Special shoutout to Mick Lee, coach, helper, part‑time Uber driver for the season… and somehow he’s also managed to get away with not having to wear the PINK cheerleader outfit. I’m sure we’ll revisit that one.

We’ll still be at the stadium today to soak it all in, take a few photos, and remind ourselves we’re champions, before one last trip to the Middlesbrough Town Hall presentation evening.

Match Report – Late Drama Sets Up Title Decider

The young Seasiders showed character, resilience, and no shortage of quality as they battled back to secure a thrilling 3–2 victory away at Newton Aycliffe FC U18.

It wasn’t the ideal start for Marske United U18, who found themselves behind early on after the hosts struck in the 6th minute. The Seasiders struggled to find their rhythm in the opening half and went into the break trailing 1–0, knowing they had work to do.

The second half, however, was a completely different story.

Marske came out with intent and began to take control of the game. Their pressure paid off on the hour mark when Jacob Lyth found the net to bring the sides level at 1–1, sparking belief across the team.

With momentum now firmly on their side, the Seasiders pushed on and were rewarded again in the 76th minute, as Layton Caddick completed the turnaround with a well-taken finish to make it 2–1.

Despite a late response from Newton Aycliffe that ensured a nervy finish, Marske held their composure and added a crucial third goal to secure all three points in what proved to be a hard-fought and entertaining contest.

The result now sets up a huge final game of the season—three points will seal the title, while a draw would still be enough to crown the Seasiders TJFA Division One champions.

Billingham United U18 2–8 Marske United U18

Marske United U18 now TOP of Division One

If anyone arrived late to this one, they’ll be kicking themselves, because Marske United U18 put on the kind of second‑half show that should’ve come with an admission fee.

Billingham struck first on 17 minutes, which briefly woke the home crowd… and fully woke the Marske lads. From there, the young Seasiders got into their rhythm, and once Jacob Lyth levelled before the break, the script flipped harder than a dodgy coin toss.

The second half?

Pure chaos. Pure quality. Pure Marske.

Lyth decided he quite fancied scoring goals for fun, adding three more, including a penalty, because why not complete the hat‑trick with a bit of drama.

Jaydon Mbarushimana joined the party moments later, Luke Myers smashed one in on 72’, Shai Dixon curled in the 83rd‑minute cherry on top, and Isaac Smith wrapped things up in the 87th.

Billingham did sneak a second on 68’, but by then the Marske attack was in full “try and stop us” mode.

Substitutions played their part too — Jaydon, Isaac, Thomas Eeles and Harvie Bower all came on and made an impact, proving the squad depth is as strong as the finishing.

And the headline?

Marske United U18 now sit TOP of Division One.
Not by accident. Not by luck. By attitude, graft, and eight goals away from home.

Something is building. Something is clicking. And the table now shows it.

Marske United U18 7–3 Chester Le Street U18
Sunday 12th April. A proper six-pointer with a statement finish

Top of the table. League leaders in town. A six pointer with real bite. The question before kick-off could the young Seasiders close the gap to just one point?

Well… they didn’t just answer it, they smashed the door off.

It started perfectly when Jacob Lyth opened the scoring on 12 minutes, coolly finishing after a tidy assist from Josh Brown to settle any early nerves.

But league leaders don’t sit top for nothing, and Chester Le Street hit back quickly with goals on 16 and 18 minutes to flip the game on its head.

Cue the response.

Lewis Humble pulled Marske level on 31 minutes, and from there the Seasiders found their rhythm. Layton Caddick grabbed one before the break to send Marske in 3–2 up at half-time, momentum firmly in the Seasiders hands.

The second half? Chaos. Glorious, entertaining chaos.

Caddick wasn’t done, adding another on 66 minutes (assisted by Lyth) before somehow managing to celebrate with a yellow card in the same minute—efficient, if nothing else. He then completed a superb hat-trick late on with another goal in the 88th minute.

Shai Dixon got himself on the scoresheet on 83 minutes, showing great composure, before turning provider for Humble’s second in the 89th minute to cap off the afternoon.

Chester Le Street did manage a late consolation on 87 minutes, but by then the damage had long been done.

Full-time: 7–3.
Statement made.

From 2–1 down to a four-goal win against the league leaders, this was a performance full of character, quality, and just the right amount of chaos. The Seasiders now surge to within touching distance at the top, title race well and truly on.

And if this was a six-pointer … the Seasiders just cashed it in with interest.
