🏆 Congratulations to Liam Williams and Martin Bingham, who have been jointly shortlisted for Coach of the Year (Disability Pathway) at the Berks & Bucks FA Grassroots Football Awards.

As Reading City FC's Disability Officer and RG4 FC's Club Welfare Officer, Liam and Martin have worked together to grow our Comets programme, creating more opportunities for disabled players to enjoy football in an inclusive, supportive and welcoming environment. ⚽💙

Good luck to both Liam and Martin at the awards ceremony on 17th July at Stadium MK!

We're also delighted to see Martin's wider contribution recognised through nominations for the Positive Behaviour Award, Community Impact Award and the Pride of Reading Neighbourhood Champion Award. Meanwhile, everyone at RG4 FC should be immensely proud of their Volunteers of the Year nomination, a testament to the incredible work taking place across their club and the local community!

As part of the FA Comets Programme, we’re welcoming children aged 5–11 back after the festive break for our first session of 2026 and it’s set to be an exciting year ahead 👀

Our Comets sessions are designed for disabled children aged 5–11, offering a welcoming space where imagination can run free, confidence can grow and friendships are made 🌈

These sessions are all about fun first! no pressure, no expectations, just football, freedom and smiles.

⚽ Recreational, pan-disability football sessions for children aged 5–11
🤝 Open to children with a wide range of impairments and health conditions

🏠 A safe space where children feel supported and that they truly belong

👟 All sessions are delivered by FA-qualified coaches, specially trained to support disabled children, and take place at the Rivermoor Stadium, the proud home of Reading City FC and the hub of Reading’s football community.

🏟️ With our outstanding facilities and a private, secure environment. Children get the unforgettable experience of playing football in a real stadium, safely and comfortably.
