Reading XLFC 0–1 Eastleigh MvF Development

A narrow defeat, but plenty of positives to take from our first game back in a while. 👊

The boys put in a really strong performance, worked hard throughout and gave everything against a good Eastleigh side.

We also welcomed a few new faces into the team, and as with any new group, it takes a little time to settle, build relationships and find our rhythm on the pitch.

After having some time away from competitive action, it was great to finally dust off the cobwebs and get back out there! ⚽️🔥

A massive thank you to Eastleigh MvF Development for making the trip to Reading and helping us get the game played. We wish you all the very best for the upcoming season. 🤝

For us, it’s about taking the positives, learning from the game and continuing to build.

This weekend we welcome Eastleigh MvF Development to the Reading FC Community Trust Complex – SCL Stadium for an exciting friendly! 🔥

Due to opposition cancellations we have a number of dates available for friendly fixtures including THIS SUNDAY 17th May as a priority.

If you are a health and wellness or weightloss based team looking for a fixture, this weekends match is booked to take place at The Select Car Leasing 3G (former Reading FC Training Centre).

All other dates shown can be home or away with kick off times to be agreed. All costs will be split 50/50.

🏁 REA 3 | 2 EAS

Reading takes the win at home in a great back and forth match with Eastleigh. Brett Dodd opening the scoring with Jake Leath making it 2-0 before half time.

A strong start to the second half saw Eastleigh mount a comeback but Reading managed to bag one more goal through a Jake Leath bullet header. His second of the day which proved enough to take the win 👏

Huge thanks to Eastleigh for travelling and we wish them a safe journey home. 👍
