⚽️ EIGHT-GOAL THRILLER FOR THE NORTON LEAGUE BOYS! ⚽️

Razor FC 4–4 Timsbury

A fantastic workout for our Norton League team against Timsbury, who we’ll be coming up against in our division this season.

Timsbury raced into an early 2–0 lead, but huge credit to the boys because their heads never dropped. Instead, they took the fight straight back to Timsbury and grew stronger as the half went on.

Sullivan was superb down the left, with his first touch impeccable throughout, while Rheon and Henry were giving the Timsbury back line nightmares with their direct and dangerous attacking play.

It was centre-back Teddy who dragged us back into the game, unleashing an absolute 25-yard screamer that gave the goalkeeper no chance! 🚀⚽️

Rheon then brought us level, reacting quickest after Henry’s penalty was saved — the spot kick having been awarded after Henry was hauled down in the box.

2–2 at the break, and in truth Razor were unlucky not to be going in ahead.

The boys started the second half brightly, but it was Timsbury who struck next to make it 3–2. Once again, though, there was no drop in heads and Razor responded quickly, with Teddy grabbing his second of the game from a free kick.

Henry then got the goal his excellent performance deserved to put us 4–3 ahead and seemingly on our way to a hard-fought victory.

It wasn’t quite meant to be. Timsbury took advantage of a mix-up at the back late on to haul themselves level and bring a cracking game to an end at 4–4.

Plenty of positives and a really valuable run-out against a side we’ll be seeing again in competitive action this season.

🌟 Standout performances:
Henry R was excellent, particularly during the first half on the right wing, while Rheon had a huge ongoing battle with the Timsbury centre-back and caused problems throughout.

But today’s Man of the Match goes to Rocco. 🧤👏

He bailed the team out on more than one occasion in 1v1 situations, made some very good saves and backed that up with excellent distribution from the back.

Well done, Rocco — thoroughly deserved! 👏

⚽️ WHAT A START TO THE NEW SEASON! ⚽️

A new season, a new division for our Avon League team — and what a way to get things underway!

Imperial competed in Division 2 last season, and we have come up from Division 5, but today the boys produced an outstanding performance and dominated the game from start to finish.

From the first whistle, we played with real intent — getting the ball forward quickly, attacking the space and looking to create chances at every opportunity. There was no unnecessary messing around at the back; instead, we played fast, flowing football and repeatedly got in behind the Imperial defence.

It was wave after wave of attacks, and if it hadn’t been for an Imperial goalkeeper in superb form, the scoreline could very easily have reached double figures.

A fantastic team performance and about as good a start to the season as we could have asked for.

Outstanding, boys. Well done! 👏⚽️

Up at the Rec today, our Avon League boys take on Div 2 Whitchurch in another pre season friendly designed to give the boys the sternest test possible before the season kicks off in December. Kick off 10.30am

Great way to start the season. A home tie against Milborne Port in the County Cup for our Razor FC u-13s.

Our under 13's continue their preparation for the new season with a game against Div 3 AEK Boko. Come and watch the boys on Wednesday as they look to bounce back from their loss in the last game and get to grips with our new 'bobbly' pitch 😂. Kick off at 6.30pm up at Roundhill Recreation Ground

We're looking for 2-3 more players to join our Midsomer Norton Youth League Under 13's team for the 2026/27 season (Year 8 from September).
Whether your child is:
✅ Currently with another team but looking for more game time,
✅ Returning to football after a break,
✅ Or completely new to the game,..we'd love to hear from you!
