🏏 £116k INVESTED INTO WELSH CLUB CRICKET 🎉

11 clubs have secured funding in the latest round of the Be Active Wales Fund £116,472 of projects, with £69,071 from Sport Wales thanks to National Lottery players

One Stop Shop Community Partnership Programme

One Stop convenience stores are looking to create partnerships with local community groups who are operating within a 2-mile radius of a One-Stop Shop. In Flintshire, the only One-Stop Shop is located in Greenfield, CH8 7QB.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available to support projects and initiatives that are:

• Tackling food poverty
• Supporting the vulnerable
• Supporting the elderly
• Supporting low-income families
• Running youth sports teams
• Reducing / recycling waste
• Improving the environment

Support could include funding, volunteering, fundraising and awareness raising.
Applicant organisations are encouraged to visit their local One Stop store for more information.

The closing date for applications is 30th September 2026

🙌 What a great club engagement evening!

A brilliant evening bringing together Flintshire and Wrexham sport clubs, creating opportunities to connect, share ideas and strengthen the support available to local clubs and communities. ⚽🏉🏃‍♀️🏆

It was fantastic to see so many clubs coming together, building relationships and looking at how we can continue to get more people active, strengthen community links and create opportunities for young people to get involved in sport. 💪❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and to the organisations supporting local sport:
