Gloucester Strength is a free weights gymnasium providing a very different training experience compared to a commercial Gym. We specialise in the multiple disciplines of strength and conditioning training. Entering a gym for the first time can be quite a daunting experience, in fact so much so that it may prevent you from entering the gym at all!

In 2013 I established Gloucester Strength gym to welcome anyone and teach them the incredible benefits of weight training.

The days of my premises may long have passed, but I have continued to run a Beginners Program ever since, with it consistently being rated at 5-stars for an introduction to the world of strength training.

Your body is built to move, yet we exercise less and less with today's conveniences!

So to protect ourselves from the effects of ageing and injury, we simulate these movements, first learning correct optimal form and then with additional loads (weights) to develop our muscles, ligaments, tendons and skeletal system.

That's why I created my Beginners Strength Program

Explicitly structured to progress you from novice to confident lifter, we perform the primary strength exercises that are most functional in the everyday world. These follow the five primary movement patterns;
-
- Squatting
- Pressing
- Pulling
- Hinging
- Carrying

The movements you perform every day without even realising it.

The program is ten weeks long and builds upon your knowledge from session to session. Any person aged 16 or over may join, and sessions are capped to small groups to ensure a high level of coaching.

Sessions are every Monday / Wednesday / Friday at 6am.

I'm going to be putting together a new 10 Week training program in the coming week. 10 weeks transforming not only your body but your habits and mindset.

You work out 3x per week.

Every Monday / Wednesday / Friday at 6 am.

If you didn't know already, weight training is the most superior exercise for transforming your body's physique.

You will learn how to lift safely and effectively, getting you stronger, fitter and leaner.

Within the program, you will be building new nutritional habits to solidify your results after all the hard gym work.

Because, after all, strength training is paramount when it comes to toning and defining your body.

Nutrition, however, is key to how you would prefer to present that body to the mirror.

Rather than giving you generic food types to eat and cut out, let us build a realistic system that you can continue for life.

Something that can adapt to a sudden change of plans, a time when you forget to prepare lunch, or when you decide to go out for drinks with friends.
