SCYC - South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club Abersoch Come and join our Club! The Club’s racing season runs from Easter to October.

Boasting unrivalled Club facilities including the Bar and The Cove restaurant, and stunning views of Cardigan Bay, SCYC offers fantastic dinghy and keelboat sailing opportunities, as well as welcoming motorboat owners. Founded in 1924, SCYC has a proud history of Club racing and of hosting many prestigious national and international sailing events in the sheltered waters of Cardigan Bay. Many of o

ur members and their families have enjoyed a long association with the Club, but we are a welcoming bunch and have attracted over 500 new members in the last three years. SCYC offers fantastic dinghy and keelboat sailing opportunities, together with unrivalled Club facilities including the Bar and The Cove restaurant, with stunning views of Cardigan Bay. We have two mixed dinghy fleets and two (racing and cruising) mixed keelboat fleets, plus one-design fleets for Dragons, Seabirds, Pandoras and Squibs. For those who enjoy sailing “from the land” we have a thriving Radio-controlled Laser Class … and for those who prefer to take to the water under power, we also welcome motorboat owners. Club racing is run from the Clubhouse, with launch services provided to take crews out to boats on the moorings and patrol boats overseeing all dinghy racing. In addition to Club racing, Open Weeks are run each year for the Seabird, Pandora and Squib fleets, and our annual Dinghy, Keelboat and Mirror Weeks attract hundreds of competitors to Abersoch from across the UK and beyond.
