This ais Joe, .1 AKA Joe “Nigel Benn” Glover !! This kid came to me to train just to accompany his college mate ( another one of PABS boxers ) He soon found a real taste for the ring, and all aspects of boxing training. I saw something in Joe a long time ago, heart, determination, and a solid chin. This mixed with dedication soon saw him walk through the doors on a daily basis. He was quickly carded with and his amateur journey started.Thursday I got a call and was asked for Joe. The match up was right I felt,and when I asked him he said let’s do it ( that’s a bit of me that … colin remember lol) Joe went in there today and listened beautifully. Boxed exactly how I asked and followed instruction. I pointed out its 3 rounds, if it’s going wrong don’t panic. Stay calm and fire off under pressure from a calm place. The second round saw Joe nearly stop his lad, thenJoe was caught, and a standing 8 count was to then follow. As he looked at me I said DO NOT F&&KING WORRY/ OR PANIC…… BUT your behind now, calmly go do your Nigel lol. Those that know my love for Benn and had followed the Dark Destroyer will know he was so dangerous when hurt. Within seconds Our Nigel sent back a standing 8 count in kind. The bell rang and Joe was back in my hands. Kid your evens now, how bad you want this? Bad coach, he replied. Go out there and go get him outta there. Joe boxed his head off, and his heart out. After the final bell, JOE NB GLOVER was pronounced the winner 🥇 👏👏👏👏 As a coach I couldn’t be more proud. What I loved with Joe is he listened, and when behind changed it up and listened some more AND WON!! This was his opponents home show, so support was high on his side, but Joe took it all in his stride, and the London coach / scout there watching 🙌Well done kiddo, im smiling ear to ear, and so so bloody proud of you.

This is Joe, .1 AKA Joe “Nigel Benn” Glover !! This kid came to me to train just to accompany his college mate ( another one of PABS boxers ) He soon found a real taste for the ring, and all aspects of boxing training. I saw something in Joe a long time ago, heart, determination, and a solid chin. This mixed with dedication soon saw him walk through the doors on a daily basis. He was quickly carded with and his amateur journey started. I’ve had that much confidence in him I’ve recently been sending him to London squad training, along with the team,and in particular PABS very own who has been selected and recently represented London. Joe held his own, and what he learnt was invaluable. He gained so much, and the coaches really did take a shine to him. Joe had a really well matched Bout a few weeks back on an home show. The bout could of gone either way, and both fighters really put on a display. I feel as a home show fighter it was his day to get the nod( we want to defo do that own again) and Joe and I were happy with his performance. But like I was taught, and what I teach my own is we now must pick it apart and take the negatives and turn them into positives. Always improve and always analyse, even if they won!
