Absolutely fantastic day out on the meadows today with the kids. The p4/5 team put in a great shift and finished second in their tournament. We also had a development player playing their first ever games after starting to play in the last few months.
A massive well done to all the kids for taking part and a huge thank you to Edinburgh for organising and hosting.
Thank you everyone for making today's Primary age competition such a success. There was some great competitive shinty on display in all ages groups. Well done Gleann Dail shinty club who won the P6/7 competition, and hard lines Glasgow Gaels Shinty Club who were runners up. It was so close between the two it came down to not just goal difference but goals for! Even then there were only 2 goals in it.
Edinburgh came out on top in the P4/5 and development competitions, well done all the players involved!
All the games were close and all played in great spirit and good sportsmanship was on display from everyone, players,coaches and supporters! Well done.
A huge thank you to our pitch coordinators and referees, young refs from our clubs and two from Tayforth Camanachd , Rosie and Alison, who made it all run smoothly aswell.
Lastly, thanks to all coaches, parents, supporters, taxi drivers, first aiders, herders ( Development! You know who you are!), encouragers and all the other roles everyone takes on in all the clubs to make sure everyone enjoys themselves.
We hope to see you all next year!
