After a nice Summer break our Thursday sessions will be starting back tomorrow evening.

As usual the first session will run 6-7.15 and the second session 7.15-8.30. Please can all parents/guardians be available at the start of the session. I need to verify the contact info I have and update plans for the next 12 months.

It’s going to be our final drop in session of the Summer this Thursday (27 Aug). If any members want to have a few games please head over anytime between 6-8pm. I’ll have the automatic scorers on and it’ll be a relaxed evening. All parents are also welcome to bring their darts and get involved!

We’ll then be back to our normal sessions on Thursday 3 September. 🎯🎯

🚨 SESSIONS UPDATE 🚨

Morning everyone, I am going to run a couple of drop-in sessions between 6-8 this Thursday and next Thursday. They are open to any members that would like to attend. Just head over any time from 6pm. Depending on how many attend, I may just run a couple of little competitions.

For those unavailable, normal sessions will commence on Thursday 3 September. Please note, there are a couple of sessions in September I unfortunately need to cancel as per the dates listed below.

From September communication with parents will move to WhatsApp, with a group for each session. I am in the process of reaching out to all parents to verify the contact information I have is correct and I will set the groups up over the next week.

🎯 20 August – drop-in session 6-8pm
🎯 27 August - drop-in session 6-8pm
🎯 3 September – 2 sessions as per usual
🎯 10 September – 2 sessions as per usual
❌ 17 September – NO SESSION (I am away)
❌ 24 September – NO SESSION (venue is unavailable due to an event)
🎯 31 September onwards – 2 sessions as per usual

A quick reminder we’ve got a special meet and greet in store this afternoon. If anyone is available it’s a great opportunity to play a leg against Jack, one of the best up and coming young players in darts. Well then have a relaxed drop-in session between 5-6pm for the kids to have some matches on the automatic scorers. 👇👇

This Friday one of the best young players in the country is visiting our store. Jack is in a great position to qualify for Ally Pally at the end of the year and he’ll be playing against customers throughout the afternoon.

The event with Jack runs from 3pm - 5pm and I’m planning on holding a drop in session for the Academy between 5pm - 6pm.

If any members are free on Friday, it’s a great opportunity to play a leg against Jack and, as long as there is enough interest, we’ll have an hour afterwards for the kids to play matches and have some fun.

🚨 SESSION CANCELLED 16 JULY 🚨

Last week was just about bearable with the heat but it’s looking like it will be a good few degrees warmer tomorrow☀️☀️. I have therefore decided to cancel the session this Thursday evening. Formal sessions will start again after Summer on Thursday 3 September.

In the next day or two I will send out a list of dates for various drop-in sessions that will take place over Summer. These are an opportunity for members to see each other during the break and we’ll do a few little comps if enough attend.

I have also spoken to Pete and the planned tournament in Longridge this Sunday is going to be postponed until after Summer. This will allow a lot more to attend. I will communicate a date and time for this asap.

A big thank-you to everyone who has supported the Academy since we started 7 or 8 months ago.

Whilst we take a break over Summer, I will be working hard on various developments to ensure members are given the best possible opportunity for future development and progression!

It’s a bit of a warm one out there today! 🕶️☀️

Whilst the two sessions will go ahead as usual tonight, if any kids are struggling with the heat and would prefer to give their session a miss this week, that is absolutely fine. There is no requirement to give notice.

For those attending, please ensure you have a drink. For obvious reasons shorts and light clothing are recommended.
