✍🏼 LEADERSHIP UPDATE

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Carli Pirie as AFC Welwyn’s new Club Secretary.

Already a huge part of the AFC Welwyn family, Carli has become one of the club’s most valued and recognisable figures through her incredible work as our graphic designer, photographer, kit woman and all-round creative force...with many describing her as the beating heart of the club 🩷

From matchdays to media, late-night graphics to behind-the-scenes organisation, Carli’s tireless dedication has played a massive role in helping AFC Welwyn continue its rapid rise through the leagues. Her passion, professionalism and commitment to the club have never gone unnoticed.

As she steps into the Secretary role, Carli will now take on one of the most important operational positions within the football club, helping ensure everything off the pitch continues to run smoothly as the Romans move into an exciting new chapter.

✍🏼 LEADERSHIP UPDATE

We are proud to announce the appointment of James Kilroy as AFC Welwyn’s new Managing Director.

A founding committee member and a huge part of the club’s journey from day one, James has been the driving force behind AFC Welwyn’s marketing, media and production growth, helping the club secure a Bronze award at the 2025 Football Content Awards.

In his new role, reporting directly to CEO/Owner Tawhid Juneja and Co-Owner Lisa Juneja, James will oversee all non-football operations as the club enters an exciting new era. His focus will include growing our in-person fanbase, strengthening supporter engagement and continuing to improve the matchday experience for supporters, volunteers and the wider AFC Welwyn community.

His appointment comes at a pivotal moment for the club as we prepare for our 2026/27 groundshare at Hertford Town FC, bringing the Romans closer to the heart of Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City.
