Seven Stars Tai Chi has been running for over 30 years. Maost of our students join us purely for the health benefits of learning the art, but we hold monthly workshops for those wishing to learn martial applications and weapons training.

There is a burst water pipe at the Waterlooville Community Centre so there are no classes this Monday morning.
Things should be back to normal by next week, but weā€™ll let you know if the problem continues šŸ’¦

Our Tai Chi classes in Hastings and St Leonards run all through the summer holidays, except July 6th-July 9th when we take a little break.

The classes tend to be a little quieter in the summer, which can be an ideal time for new people to start, so weā€™re going to put a little offer on, just here on local social media.

Join any class on Monday 13th July or Thursday 16th July for just Ā£30 and youā€™ll be able to attend all the sessions of that class until the end of August. Thatā€™s up to 7 classes for just Ā£30, which is still great even if you miss a couple! šŸ˜

Youā€™ll have to reply here with your name, or email me at [email protected] to book yourself in, then turn up and pay cash (preferably) or card in the day.

Yang Luchan was the founder of Yang style Tai Chi. In this workshop we will teach elements of the Yang Luchan Tai Chi form which was developed within the Chen village almost 200 years ago.
The original Yang form is very different to the standard Yang form, but considered essential knowledge for anyone who practises Tai Chi.
The form is very ā€˜sungā€™ (softness that penetrates deeply) and contains occasional ā€˜Fa Jinā€™ (explosive emitting energy) movements.
2.30-3.30 Sabre practise Ā£10 extra
We will show some of the standard sabre drills which beginners can join in with alongside the instructors using spare wooden sabres.

We also have follow-along Yoga and Qi Gong videos, some of them nearly an hour long; perfect for when you canā€™t make it to class, or just to do a little extra!

We have several class closures coming up, mainly due to Bank Holiday season, but some others that are out of our hands due to cancellations by our hall providers.
We are open all through the school holidays but we close on Bank Holiday weekends to give our instructors a break when class numbers are reduced at these times.

we have new leaflets advertising our classes arriving soon.

we encourage all students to attend our workshops, even our lovely newbies! There is lots to learn, even from the beginning, and added insight improves your enjoyment at the classes.
