We are currently looking for school year 6 (in September) girls to come and join us on our journey as we prepare for the competitive league at U12s.

We are on the lookout for a few more players to join our squad as we get ready for competitive football next season.

-Fantastic bunch of friendly girls.
-Have our own facilities with Clubhouse.
-FREE Match Day & Training kits.
-4 Dedicated Coaches that are fully qualified and Enhanced DBS checked.

We want to give a huge shoutout to Ricky, one of our football family and a proud parent of one of our players 👏

Ricky is taking on an incredible challenge, running 30 marathons in 30 days this May for Mind, supporting mental health awareness ❤️🤍

This isn’t his first challenge either. As Ricky shared:

“Last year I pushed myself to the limit… running 60 half marathons in 60 days and raising over £10,000. Every mile was about raising awareness and showing that no one should face mental health struggles alone.”

Now he’s going even bigger.

“30 full marathons in 30 days… 780 miles in one month. There will be pain. There will be exhaustion. But mental health battles don’t take days off.”

This is more than just a physical challenge — it’s about resilience, awareness, and supporting something that impacts so many lives.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Rhydyfelin Girls ❤️

Today we celebrate the incredible women who stand behind every player, every training session, and every match day.
To the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, step mums, foster mums, adopted mums, and family friends who help raise, guide and support our girls, today is for you!

Thank you for the early morning lifts, the muddy boots in the car, the endless encouragement from the sidelines, and the hugs after both the wins and the tough losses. Thank you for the sacrifices you make so our girls can play the sport they love.

Football doesn’t just build players, it builds confidence, resilience, friendships and memories. And behind every one of those moments is a woman who believed in them first.

Your support, strength and love help shape not only athletes, but strong young people on and off the pitch.

This photo says everything about grassroots football.

Every one of our Rhydyfelin AFC Under 11’s girls steps onto the pitch carrying something different. One might be feeling confident. Another nervous. One excited about her birthday. Another worried about homework. One might be laughing with friends… while another might be quietly having a tough day.

But when they cross that white line, they are a TEAM.

Football becomes their safe space.
A place to grow in confidence.
To build resilience.
To support each other.
To smile, learn and belong.

We’re not just developing players, we’re helping shape strong, kind, brave young girls who lift each other up, no matter what they’re carrying that day.

Only one team out this weekend, our Reds had an early start with a 9am KO in Port Talbot.
Played some great clubs, very well matched.
