Massive respect to everyone who’s driven this club forward — committee, management, and a group of players who set a level no one else stepped up to.

Undefeated all season. Not a slip. Not a wobble. And just to leave no doubt, we lifted the Benevolent Cup as well.

We are delighted to congratulate Gareth Ponting on taking on the role of Manager at Penygarn & Trevethin FC 🔵

Joining us midway through the season as a coach, Gareth has now committed his future to the club and will lead us forward as we continue our journey in Division 1.

His passion, experience, and leadership have already had a huge impact, and we’re excited to see what the future holds under his guidance.

Yesterday was a special day for everyone at Penygarn & Trevethin FC as we celebrated lifting both the Benevolent Cup 🏆 and the league title 🏆

It was a hard-fought contest against Usk Reserves, who pushed us all the way in a tight game. The difference came early on, with a brilliant finish from Lewis Hale securing the win.

What made the day even more memorable was sharing it with our future stars — our junior section proudly attended as mascots and joined us in the post-match celebrations. Moments like these show what our club is all about 💙

A huge thank you to Blaenavon Blues for hosting the final, as well as the match officials, our opponents and all the supporters who came out to watch and support.

Let’s make some noise for the champions — a double-winning season for the community! 🔥🙌💙

It’s a historic day for Penygarn & Trevethin FC… and we need YOU behind us! 💙

Today, not only do we compete in the Benevolent Cup Final, but we also celebrate lifting the Gwent Central League title — the club’s first silverware in 11 years since 2015! 🙌

And history is on the line…
The last time we lifted the Benevolent Cup was 24 years ago (2002).

On the back of a league title-winning season, Penygarn & Trevethin FC now turn their attention to one final objective… more silverware 👀🏆

This Sunday, we face Usk Town AFC Reserves in the Division Two Benevolent Cup Final, with everything on the line. Usk last lifted this trophy back in 1983, while Trevethin have proud history in this competition — winning it twice in 2000 & 2002 under Trevethin Old Boys 💪

Now it’s time for a new generation to step up and write their own chapter. Momentum is with us, belief is high, and the opportunity to complete a league and cup double is right in front of us.

Forgeside Reserves 1 – 7 Penygarn & Trevethin FC

🌊 A Wave of Blue Dominance! 🌊

Penygarn & Trevethin FC produced a high-energy, free-flowing performance to storm to a brilliant 7–1 victory away at Forgeside Reserves.

This fixture provided the perfect opportunity to experiment with a new system and rotate the squad — and the response from the players was nothing short of outstanding. Every single player embraced the challenge, delivering a performance full of intensity, intelligence, and attacking quality.

Out of possession, the team were sharp and aggressive, squeezing the space and winning the ball back quickly. Once regained, Penygarn & Trevethin exploded forward, stretching the pitch and making it almost impossible for Forgside to contain them.

It was a complete team performance built on discipline, energy, and fearless attacking football.

Tonight we travel to face Forgeside Reserves in our final game before heading into the Benevolent Cup Final this Sunday.

With one eye on the final, we have a great opportunity to rotate the squad and keep things fresh going into a big week for the club.

A huge boost for us as Dwain Hunt returns to the squad, taking an important step on his road back to full fitness after several months out through injury 💪
