🏏 What an exciting Friday night for our ladies!

We were delighted to welcome Welsh Fire and Essex star Sophia Smale, who is also Ponthir born and bred, to our training session last night.

Sophia shared some really helpful tips with our ladies before putting them through their paces and bowling at a few of them… as well as having a bowl at our coach, Sam! 😄

Such an inspirational evening for everyone involved and a fantastic opportunity for our ladies to learn from one of the best.

A huge thank you to Sophia for giving up her time to come along, share her experience and inspire our players. 🏏👏

Busy day of cricket today for our Women & Girls section.

Our U10 girls were in Rogerstone this morning for a festival and won both their games!

Then our ladies festival squad followed straight on for the Rogerstone Softball Festival. Unfortunately it didn’t go our way but we learned loads and had a few new players making their debuts.

Last but not least our hardball development team played Panteg at home and took home the win!

Some great performances across both locations and amazing to see 7 sets of mothers and daughters playing across all 3 matches.
It’s a family affair 🏏💚💛

What a day for it 😮‍💨☀️
The sunshine was out and the atmosphere was spot‑on. Llanarth took the win this time, but it was a brilliant day together and our Pirates battled right to the last ball.
Huge thanks to Llanarth CC 🌳 for having us — and big love to our Pirates for giving it their all 👏🏻
