🇬🇧 🏉 THIS SATURDAY – ARMED FORCES DAY ROUND 🏉 🐯

Join us at Castleford Tigers vs Toulouse this Saturday as we mark the special Armed Forces day Round!

We’re proud to have 4 of our players there who have all served there country and are now Castleford Tigers wheelchair players they will be wearing their UKAF Wheelchair rugby league team shirts, proudly representing both the Tigers and the Armed Forces Wheelchair Team.

✅ Real match chairs for you to try with posts up to try your hand at kicking 💪
✅ A warm welcome to everyone

Come along, say hello, ask questions, and give this amazing sport of Wheelchair Rugby League a go! It’s inclusive, fast, and an incredible experience.

The Reserves kick things off in their first of two Development League fixtures this weekend!

🟠 SUNDAY
Then the whole squad travels down to Gravesend for a massive double-header!
✅ First Team in action in the National Championship
✅ Reserves / Dev side also play their Development League fixture

Here’s a look at some of the first team trylights from what was an amazing day of rugby league yesterday against York Knights! 🎥🏉

💛❤️ FIRST TEAM PERFORMANCE
A really strong all-round display, packed with fantastic tries and brilliant attacking play. But what a defensive effort in the second half as we conceded NO tries after the break, showing real discipline and determination! 🛡️🔥

What a performance! Jenson was simply outstanding, racking up an incredible 4 tries and making a massive contribution all over the pitch. Well played, Jenson! 👏

💛❤️ RESERVES TEAM PERFORMANCE
Our Reserves did themselves proud yet again! Some brilliant attacking plays / trys and a solid defensive effort especially from our junior players. They went up against some adult opponents, never backed down for a second, and proved they belong at this level. 💪🙌

🌟 RESERVES PLAYER OF THE MATCH - SOPHIA

Another huge effort! Once again one of the smallest people on the pitch, and clearly targeted throughout the game… but not once did she take a backwards step and played some fantastic rugby with a try assist that even seasoned players at the highest level would be impressed with. 👏

To every single fan who came down, cheered us on, and made the day so special - your support means everything! 💛

Also a big shout out to Men’s First Team Head Coach Ryan Carr, who took the time to come down and speak with our players and fans ahead of the game. It was brilliant to have you with us, Ryan! 🐯

🕊️ A MINUTES APPLAUSE FOR TWO TRUE LEGENDS 🕊️

Ahead of our game today against York Knights, we held a minute’s applause to honour former Castleford Tigers legend John Kear and a member of our wheelchair rugby league community Jamie Ball of Salford RLFC, who sadly passed away unexpectedly this week. ❤️

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with their families, friends, and everyone at Salford connected to Jamie at this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace to two wonderful men and true legends of our sport - you will never be forgotten. 🙏


On the field, what a day it was for the Tigers! 🐯
We made it two wins from two today - both matches played with that familiar passion, pride, and heart for the club and the badge, with John and Jamie firmly in our minds every step of the way. 💪

We played for them today, and we’re so proud to have done them proud.

What a day of back to back wins today for a 1st team and Reserves against York Knights 1st team and Reserves.

Both games played with passion and determination from all teams.

And what a honour to have Ryan Carr Castleford Tigers Head coach come down to see us and spend time out talking to some of the players and staff.
