DON’T FORGET — IT’S THIS SATURDAY!

Join us for our Summer Surf Fair at the Museum of British Surfing this Saturday, 29th August — a day celebrating surfing, local makers and everything that makes Braunton’s surf community special.

Taking place outside the museum from 10am–4pm, we’ll have a great selection of surf-related traders, makers, clothing, art and locally made goods. Whether you surf, love surf culture or simply fancy a wander around and a good day out, come along and see what’s happening.

We’re also joining forces with our good friends at Braunton Craft Market, so there’ll be even more to explore throughout the day, with local makers and independent businesses bringing everything from handmade jewellery and artwork to skincare, homewares and plenty more.
So come down, have a browse, support some brilliant local businesses, talk surfing and enjoy a proper summer’s day in Braunton.

Our wonderful stallholders are back for another brilliant Wembury Farmer's Market this Saturday. Pop in before you head down the beach or out for the day, or stay an hour or more and catch up with neighbours, friends or people you've never met before. All are welcome and it is a guaranteed warm welcome too!

Stallholders this month (please note there will be no Janet the pasty lady this month but she will be back in August):

Meat - everything from her famous sausages and all the classic cuts of meat through to through to goat joints, pork with a Chinese spice glaze and rabbit.
Cakes and sweet bakes,
Bread - including artisan flavoured bread and normally some sweet buns,
Jam, chutney, sauces, dressings, marmalades and marinades,
Local b**r and c***r,
Local honey and nuts in honey,
Chocolate!,

Wooden creations,
Eco friendly household and cleaning products and crystals,
Embroidered items, wax melts and dinosaur creations!
Fabric art,
Leather creations,
Seaglass and button cards, pictures and jewellery,
Sewn creations such as cushions and pouches,
Surf accessories and surf themed clothing.
Dementia Friendly Parishes Around the Yealm.
Jewellery and sparkly things,

We don't have a charity cafe this month (do let us know if you're interested in doing every other market for charity, there's no charge) but I'm hoping to get an outside coffee van again. There will however be seating put out, so you're welcome to bring a drink yourselves and have a sit down. Cakes bought from our lovely cake lady can be consumed on site of course!

We are also always looking for food and drink providers that don't double up on our current stallholders. So if you are interested please do get in touch.

Fringe Surf Festival-Day three

Closing day of the first ever Fringe Surf Festival, after last nights disco at the Museum of British Surfing which turned into a rave, there was no better start to the final day then a gathering of sliders at Saunton Sands.
I got to try my newly acquired bread board surf tray which is awesome.
Last night I was lucky enough to win a point bellyboard in the surf raffle and it’s a beauty, thank to Jez for contributing it to the prizes.

It’s been a great weekend and a massive thank you must be said to the North Devon Slide Community for organising such a wonderful and welcoming event,
I am looking forward to doing it all again next year🤙
