What a session! 💪🔥

The MAP lads took their training to the beach tonight, putting in the work with a mix of fitness, speed, strength and plenty of team challenges!

Hard work doesn’t always have to happen on the pitch… and there was definitely no shortage of effort from the boys! 👊

And finishing with that sunset made it even better! 🌅🧡

Unfortunate result to finish the season and gutted not to finish with a win.

Good start by both teams fast passing and move football on show.

MAP early chance from corner but comes to nothing.

Long throw in from Freddie #5 comes back to him and tries long range shot but keeper jumps and catches comfortably.

Freddie #5 sweeps up a long ball plays back to Henry #1 who chips ball into Riley #7 first time finds Logan #8. Great touch and cut inside from Logan #8 pings long ball upto Aiden who d***s over the out rushing Ivybridge GK 1-0.

Free kick to Ivy edge of box and great attempt driving low under wall but cut out and cleared in 6yard box by Max #99

MAP caught nodding and Ivy get thru but stab just wide to a relieved Henry #1.

Messy playing out from back by MAP and Ivy high press forces a goal for Ivy 1-1

Shot from range by Ivy pulls good save by Henry #1 at full stretch diving to his left.

Resulting corner comes in deep to 6 yard box and headed in from 3 yards 1-2.

Half time 1-2

Ivy started 2nd half as they finished 1st half with a shot from distance forcing Henry #1 to make another great save diving to his left.

Another shot from distance by Ivy through a crowded box unsighted Henry #1 and hits back of net 1-3

Long ball over top catches MAP defense napping again, 1st time volley hit underside of bar and bounces over line 1-4

Undeterred MAP continued to plug away, Jay #14 wins ball in middle of park plays out left to Logan #8 who cuts inside and plays back to Jay #14 who gets block tackled but Jay #14 first to react and shot into the bottom corner 2-4.

Good ball wide right by Riley #7 to cooper #16 first time ball into Jay #14 who gets a good shot away but ivy GK makes a comfortable save.

Great strike edge of box by Ivy to pull another superb save by Henry #1 this time diving full stretch to his right.

Long ball into box sees a free Ivy head but another great save from Henry #1, bouncing ball cleared only as far as edge of box and ball gets to Ivy striker who battles well to poke ball home 2-5

What a great game of football on display today, an old school end to end game you couldn’t take your eyes off!

MAP took an early lead with Hadley #3 long throw into box not cleared and Jay #14 stabs home for 1-0.

Elburton not deterred by going behind saw great strike from distance rattle against the crossbar.

Free kick won by Jude #10 on right edge of the box with Riley #7 floating the kick into the box but no connection sees chance go begging.

MAP continued to heap the pressure trying to get the 2nd, but Elburton still battling winning ball in middle and another great strike from distance but Harrison #21 calmly watched over bar.

Elburton pressing again with a superb ball into striker sees Harrison #21 quickly come out and smother shot to make a great save.

Some more great football from MAP switching the play left to right, finding Aiden #9 but his chipped shot deflects just over bar for corner.

Short goal kick from elburton turned over by MAP with a bouncing ball in the box falling to Jude #10 but his volley just goes over the bar.

In the next attack “the goal that never got given” a goal mouth scramble sees Jay #14 hit the post and elburton GK push over the line but not given by the ref and ball is cleared for corner.

Elburton took advantage of MAP high press to send a long ball catching map off guard, striker sets up oncoming midfielder who side foots wide.

Elburton battled well on right to cross ball and calm header back across goal to make it 1-1.

Half time

Quick and strong start to the 2nd half with a battle from Jay #14 in the box winning a corner.

Corner in from Logan #8 to find Ryan #27 wins the header but sees it blocked but falls to Ryan #27 again to volley in for 2-1.

Massive kick from Elburton GK allowed to bounce with Elburton winger quick to run onto bouncing ball and side foots into bottom corner 2-2.

Great strength from Ryan #27 knocks ball to Fletcher #6 who delicately first time slides ball to Jay #14 and with the outside of his right foot nestles ball bottom corner 3-2.

Quick break down left sees Elburton strike but a finger tip save by Harrison #21 and full stretch keeps the lead in tact.

More pressure from Elburton securing a handball in the box and awarded a penalty. Elburton striker takes his time and just beats an outstretched Harrison #21 to bring scores level again 3-3.

Mistake by MAP sees Elburton clean through to be an almost certain goal if not for Max #99 from nowhere comes over and clears the ball for corner.

Ryan #27 persistent work again with a ball to Logan #8 who slots Jay #14 in behind and he completes his hat trick for 4-3.

Cross from Logan #8 finds Jude #10 unlucky with a shot just wide.

Ryan #27 breaks again like he has all season, slides ball across box to Bobby #20 but a great save from Elburton GK sees him denied.
