It actually feels quite strange to NOT have trained today!

But rest is just as important as the actual exercise itself but that doesnโ€™t mean you can lounge around all day ๐Ÿคฃ but doing active recovery is great like getting out in the fresh air and getting 10,000 steps in or maybe you have quite a physical and active job!

Rest allows your body to Recover, Repair and even Improves overall everyday performance so ultimately itโ€™s a WIN WIN!

A few weeks ago my Coach tried to get me to do Pull Ups and I just didnโ€™t have the Upper Body strength to do it however tonight they were in my program to do ๐Ÿ˜ฌ which is fine because I use the assisted pull up machine ๐Ÿ™Š

When me & Devon Parlett got to the Gym however the assisted pull up machine was in use so my partner in crime suggested I use the band and do it which tbh scared me because I just knew Iโ€™d tried before and couldnโ€™t!

๐—•๐—จ๐—ง ๐—œ ๐—•๐—Ÿ๐—ข๐—ข๐——๐—ฌ ๐——๐—œ๐—— ๐—œ๐—ง 5 Sets of 6-8 repsโ€ฆthat may not be much to some but to me Iโ€™m bloody proud of myself!

Itโ€™s not often I get to see what my back looks like so today my Coach took some pics and Iโ€™m so proud of how much Iโ€™ve achieved in such a short space of time, In going forward weโ€™re doing pics every 2 weeks ๐Ÿ˜ฌ so Iโ€™ll keep you all updated on the progress!

To say Iโ€™m shattered is an understatement BUT Iโ€™ve got 2 days rest coming up and then weโ€™re moving onto NEW Splitsโ€ฆPush, Pull, Legs & Rest and really getting to grips with my Macros!

The journey isnโ€™t going to be an easy one but Iโ€™m trusting and enjoying the process and that is honestly the hardest thing to do!

Long Post Alert But Here Goesโ€ฆ

Iโ€™m about to undertake one of the biggest challenges Iโ€™ve ever set myself and to say Iโ€™m scared is an understatementโ€ฆIโ€™ve got so many emotions going through me right now itโ€™s crazzzzzy ๐Ÿ˜

However this for me isnโ€™t about getting Fit and Healthy itโ€™s soooo much more than that Itโ€™s about being My True Self and to be surrounded by others who have the same desire to achieve goals (no matter how big or small) they set out for themselves no matter what but also to be accepted by others and to show that if I can do it then you 100% can too!

Itโ€™s not going to be an easy 7 months but to stand on a stage amongst others in the BEST shape of my life and show what can be achieved when you put your mind to it is making me so bloody excited!

So if you havenโ€™t already figured it out Iโ€™m getting into prep mode ready to compete next May, this is MASSIVE for me because along the way Iโ€™m going to need to overcome a lot of demons with food (some know the history but thatโ€™s for another day) and also the belief in myself!

But I know for sure that with the support of those closest to me that I WILL achieve this, Iโ€™m going to bring you guys along with me for the ride and share with you the ups and downs because I know there will be many along the way!

So here we goโ€ฆIโ€™M READY TO TACKLE THIS HEAD ON!

6 Healthy Habits you need in your lifeโ€ฆ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿฆ„

Now Iโ€™ve tried many different morning routines but this is what I stick to and it massively helps me each and every day!

1. Make your Bed first thing and practice Gratitude and Affirmations!
2. Move your Body!
3. Get out in the Fresh Air with a little walk be at one with the world!
4. Work on your passion!
5. Surround yourself with positive people who lift you up!
6. Wind down and switch off by reading a book, one that will develop and broaden your mind!

Iโ€™m not saying you have to make loads of changes but one simple change can make a big difference to your life mentally and physically!
Find what works for you and go with that because weโ€™re all different and what works for 1 doesnโ€™t work for another โค๏ธ

Iโ€™m always Amazed at what my body can doโ€ฆI feel ๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ, ๐™ƒ๐™š๐™–๐™ก๐™ฉ๐™๐™ฎ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐™ƒ๐™–๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™ฎโ€ฆa million miles away from where I was a couple of weeks ago, just shows that getting back on track is exactly what I needed!
