The whistle went—and the battle was on! 💪 🔥

What a game today! From a slow start to a thrilling fightback, the team showed incredible character, energy and determination to turn the match around and keep pushing until the final whistle.

Once we found our rhythm, the football really clicked. Quick movement, excellent use of the wide areas and some brilliant link-up play helped us grow stronger as the game went on and produce some fantastic moments.

Huge credit to the whole team for working brilliantly together. The defenders and goalkeeper provided a strong platform, while the midfield and attacking players showed great energy, movement and quality in possession.

The wide players delivered excellent balls into the box, and the team’s work rate and positioning created two of the well-deserved goals.

There was also an early contender for Goal of the Season from Number 8! 😮‍💨🔥

Brilliant team performance from start to finish. Everyone got valuable minutes, everyone played their part and we deserved the victory.

A fantastic all-round performance, bagging two goals and an assist, while also showing great passing and quality throughout the game.

⚽️ TRAINING TONIGHT ⚽️

Tonight we worked on defending and attacking drills, before finishing with a mini match where the boys could put all those skills into play! 👏⚽️

Slightly late with last week’s post because… I completely forgot! 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ So we’ve got TWO weeks of winners to celebrate!

💛⚽️ FRIENDLY MATCH ⚽️💛

Instead of training YMCA played a friendly match 🥰💛

Tough game with so many missing and no subs, but overall a really positive performance. We created chances, looked after the ball well and showed some great signs of development ⬆️

The effort, attitude and willingness to listen and apply instructions was excellent throughout. There were some really strong defensive performances, good ball recovery and plenty of confidence to get on the ball and keep trying even when things weren’t going our way 💪 💨 ⚽️

⭐ Number 7 - A new signing to the team, he really grew into the game, listened well and showed some great signs of development. A well-deserved Trainer of the Week. 👏

⭐ Number 9 - Also did exactly what was asked of him for large parts of the game, making some really good decisions and showing good discipline. Another well-deserved Trainer of the Week. 👏

A 1-1 result probably doesn’t reflect just how dominant we were today against a team a year above us. We looked solid throughout and were unlucky not to come away with more.

Defensively, the team were outstanding and worked tirelessly for each other from start to finish. 💪

A special mention to our number 3, who put in another top-tier performance. His commitment and determination to improve every week is clear to see. Passing ✅ Tackling ✅ Movement off the ball ✅ Tracking runners ✅ Staying switched on ✅ A fantastic display and thoroughly deserved recognition.

Our number 10 was rock solid in goal. It looked like another clean sheet was on the cards before an unfortunate few seconds allowed the opposition back into it. Great distribution, excellent communication and commanding throughout the game. 🧤

⭐ Coaches Players – Number 6 & Number 8

Our number 6 showed real character today. After a slightly shaky start, they grew into the game brilliantly, driving at defenders, linking play well, protecting the ball and winning it back high up the pitch. Two strong performances back-to-back and plenty to build on! 👏

A similar story for our number 8, who took a little while to find their rhythm before an assist helped unlock their game. Once settled, the passing quality really shone through, finding wide players consistently and looking for that killer ball. (The dummy was class too! 😎)

Congratulations to our newest signed player for another goal – 3 goals in 2 games! What a start to life at YMCA! ⚽🔥

What a great friendly game tonight for YMCA! ⚽️🔥 Some of the football was sensational to watch!

The whole squad put in a brilliant shift — working hard, battling for every ball, defending together, attacking with confidence and showing some fantastic movement and passing. 🙌

Everyone gave 100%, with brilliant moments right across the team. So much to be proud of from the whole squad tonight! 💪🤩

After an amazing first-game performance, the squad headed into the rest of the tournament full of confidence and determination! ⚽️🔥

The scores definitely didn’t reflect the effort they put in today. Every single one of them battled so hard, never gave up and showed some amazing moments of football. 💪👏

So many positives to take away from today — we couldn’t be prouder of them! ❤️⚽️

Tonight, some of our YMCA All Saints squad have the amazing opportunity to be flag bearers at Plymouth Argyle 💚 ahead of the game against Exeter!

What an experience for the lads — walking out at Home Park and representing the club they love! 🥹⚽️

3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss in the group stage saw them reach the final. 👏🏼

A tense 0-0 final went all the way to penalties, but heartbreakingly it wasn’t our day. 🥺💔

Helping lead the squad this season is our coach, Jamie.

If there’s one thing you can guarantee, it’s that Jamie will bring plenty of energy! Always full of enthusiasm, he loves having a laugh with the players and is never afraid to wind them up to keep training fun.

Behind the jokes is a coach who genuinely cares about every child in the squad. He’s always there with encouragement, support and time for every player, helping them build confidence while making sure football is something they look forward to each week.

We’re delighted to have Jamie as part of the coaching team.
