HELTC appoints Miren Shah as Head Coach

We are delighted to announce that Miren Shah will be joining the Club as our new Head Coach. With an impressive track record and a passion for tennis, Miren joins us at an exciting time for the Club.

Miren is a Level 3 LTA Accredited+ coach with over 12 years of experience as a tennis coach at grassroots tennis clubs and performance academies and has a proven history of developing players to their fullest potential. He has a degree in Sport and Exercise Science and worked as a Sports Scientist at Watford Football during his placement year.

Since May 2022 he has been working as a full-time coach at Pinner Moss Lane Tennis Club coaching players of all abilities. He is also a County Assistant Coach with Middlesex Tennis for the 11 & Under Boys squad.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Miren to the Hatch End Tennis Club family,” said Vikas Dabral, Club Chairman. “His vision and dedication to the sport are perfectly aligned with our Club’s mission. We believe his expertise will help our players reach new levels.”

In his new role, Miren will oversee all coaching activities, implement advanced training programmes, and foster a positive and competitive environment for all Club members.

There will be a transition period until 9 January 2025 whilst Miren completes his commitments to his old club but Justin & Rez will continue the current coaching programme until further notice.

HATCH END MIDWEEK LADIES CHARITY LEAGUE

The day time charity league organised by Janet Elliot has once again been an enormous success enjoyed by 31 teams from local clubs over four divisions. Many thanks indeed to Janet for all her hard work in continuing to run this successful league on behalf of HELTC, with all the proceeds going to charity.

All matches were played in the Spring and consisted of three pairs of ladies playing three friendly but competitive sets of tennis followed by a light lunch, which was enjoyed by all who participated.

The winners of each division receive a cheque to donate to a charity of their choice along with a winners’ shield.

Div 1 winner : David Lloyd Northwood 1. Charity : Stroke Association
Div 2 winner : Chesham Bois 2. Charity : Parkinson’s UK
Div 3 winner : Lowlands 2. Charity : Stroke Association
Div 4 winner : David Lloyd Bushey. Charity : Jewish Blind and Disabled

Congratulations to all the winning teams and thank you to all those who participated. We look forward to welcoming you at HELTC to collect your trophies on Friday.
