Another great training session tonight for the mylor maids. Some innovative drills and a good game to finish with ending just before the rain set in! A big turnout again this evening with a total of 26 of us! We welcomed a few new players but sadly we lose the lovely Maddy for a year who's leaving us for pastures new.
We're certainly enjoying the summer so far for our evening training sessions!

These are our nutty coaches and we wouldn’t be anywhere without them 🫶
They give up their free time each week, always thinking up new drills and skills to do at training. We have all improved so much as a team and we love seeing how proud they are of us.

What an amazing day at the Mylor Christmas Fair! ✨

A huge thank you to the wonderful Mylor community for having us at their Christmas fair last weekend. We were on cake duty and had such a fun time serving teas, coffees and plenty of delicious cakes. And thanks to your generosity, every penny raised will go towards funding our team🍰☕️. We’re a new team and have been funding stuff ourselves but now we can put this towards kit and training which is very needed.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us, chatted to us, supported us, ate cake and drank tea – we couldn’t have raised the money we did without such a fantastic community behind us.

And thanks to for the cream for our scones and milk for tea - it was glorious.

On Saturday we played a friendly tournament hosted by Redruth. It was 7-aside teams, and there were 7 local teams. Us and Truro had two teams (which is crazy that we now have enough people).
The games were 12 mins long and everyone played each other once. Our teams came joint 2nd and 7th.
We don’t usually play matches that much but you could see how well the team have improved over the summer.
Both our teams even ended up playing against each other and drawing which was very spicy.
In coach Craig’s words “They look so improved and confident. It’s beautiful!”

After playing on the Mylor pitch for nearly 2 years, we’ve finally christened it and put some lines down.

They might not be the straightest lines, but they are there and it’s better than nothing! Let’s now see if we can stay within them 😂🫶.

Thanks to MYLOR BRIDGE PLAYING FIELD / PARK for being so supportive. And now more people can have a kick around with some nice new lines.

What a year! 🎉

We have played multiple games this year, we have an awesome crew of ladies playing AND we have kit!!

We never wanted to take it too seriously, so of course our kit has cow print on it 😂

We had our first training session of the year last night in the freezing cold and it was just great. Lots of laughs, lots of cheering and we are still getting new people joining (who have never played before).

Our training sessions are now Friday evenings 6-7pm at the Muga courts at Falmouth uni (parking details in a previous post that’s pinned).

What a night! 🎄❤️
We’ve had such an incredible year, with so many new maids joining us and we’ve actually started playing real games against real teams.

We’ve got such an awesome crew of women playing but we still make sure we’re not taking it too seriously and having lots of fun.

Thanks for an epic year team, here’s to more football matches and more being silly ⚽️🐮

And big shout out to our coaches (Sam and Craig) who give up their free time every week to coach us. And they had such brilliant awards for the Xmas doo too 🙌
