Greystoke was full of dragons this morning! 🤣🐉🐲❄️

The temperature had dropped to 0°C, but the clear blue skies and warm sunshine soon took the chill off. A crisp, frosty start to the day with some magical almost winter scenery. ☀️💙

🎃👻 It’s Halloween time!

And around our yard, it’s always TRICK from THEM and TREAT from US!🐴🍬

And speaking of tricks… 🤣🎃

We’d better start planning our Christmas post! 🎄🎅🏼

So, what should we make our staff do this time? We’re open to suggestions… the sky’s the limit!😂

Come on, let’s hear your ideas! 👇🤣⬇️

🏆 Do syndicate horses really win races?

Absolutely!

Every Nicky Richards Racing syndicate horse to have raced in 2026 has won, with multiple victories and plenty of placed finishes across the team 🐎

With shares still available in selected horses, there’s also an exciting opportunity to get involved with an unraced five-year-old by Joshua Tree, the multiple Group 1-winning sire, who is expected to make his racecourse debut in November 👌

Join us at Greystoke in the beautiful Lake District and experience the thrill of racehorse ownership! 🏇

Saturday morning on the gallops 🌧️🐎

Just as we thought we’d made it through Storm Austen, which left us without electricity for around 48 hours, we went straight into Storm Boelo! 💨

Despite the challenging conditions, our amazing staff have been absolute stars, doing everything they can to keep the yard running as smoothly as possible. From working without lights and mucking out by torchlight, to walking horses around the yard as a good old-fashioned human horse walker, they’ve just cracked on and got the job done! 💪👏

It certainly hasn’t been the easiest few days, but the dedication, hard work and team spirit shown by everyone has been incredible 👌👏

Now, if we could just have a little break from the storms, that would be lovely! 🤞🌪️

Famous Bridge never misses an opportunity to create more work for the staff - one muddy side just wouldn’t do 😂

Wouldn’t want the staff finishing early on Saturday 😂🙈🙊
