You have to make a decision about what day is best (usually on the weekend for most people) and then what time is going to work for you.
I mainly do long runs on a Sunday and work backwards from needing to be home by 0820am latest in order to grab a drink and get changed so I can shove the kids in the buggy and get down to Junior Parkrun for 9am and Craig goes out for his run.
For me there is no such thing as a rest after a long run because I've got kids so you just have to suck it up and get on with a full day of parenting ahead ๐
Jogging down to parkrun, going around it with Ava and getting home gives me another 6km too โ๏ธ
So if you see me at junior parkrun and I stink and look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards you now know why ๐
