Padstow United Ladies 4️⃣–1️⃣ Callington Town Women
A brilliant start to our pre-season! 👏
Firstly, a huge thank you to Callington Town Women for making the trip down and helping us kick off our pre-season campaign. A really good workout for both teams — and congratulations to Callington on their promotion to the Cornwall Women’s Football League Premier Division! 👏⚽️
It was also a special day for us as three ladies made their full debut for Padstow United Ladies — Lilly, Demi and Rosie. 💚🤍
Lilly had an excellent first half, being played through early on and narrowly missing out on an opener. She then beat the last defender before being brought down in the box, earning a penalty. Lilly stepped up and calmly slotted it away to make it 2–0 at half-time. 🎯
Callington made changes at the break and quickly pulled one back to make it 2–1.
But we finished strongly! In the final 10 minutes, Ellie delivered two fantastic corners, both of which were met brilliantly by Zoe P, who headed home to complete the scoring. ⚽️⚽️

Plenty of positives to take from today's performance, and lots for us to build on as pre-season continues.
⭐️ PLAYER OF THE MATCH – ROSIE ⭐️
It could have gone to a number of players today, but Rosie was outstanding. Making her first ever competitive match appearance, she looked completely at home at centre-back, reading the game brilliantly and showing incredible composure.
What a debut! 👏🔥
