What a fabulous match, put in to bat by Outwood Maggie scored a quickfire 17. Then after 2 quick wickets Becky (I've had my shredded wheat) came out to bat scoring 46 retired off 16 balls faced with 5 4s and 4 6s one of which Judy Dench will find in her garden. This bought out Ellie and Ali and the onslaught continued. Ellie retired on 42 with 8 4s and Ali not out on 38 with 8 4s.

Defending 202 for 3 off 16 overs The Force fielded tightly especially as Debbie (foot stop) found her hands. Debutant Gemma and stalwart Emma put in strong displays and everyone who wanted to had a bowl. Linky took the first wicket LBW, then Ali took out the Outwood captain as Maggie took a sharp catch behind the stumps. Philippa was outstanding in the field outdoing the England football women with a fine piece of dribbling to save a boundary and a simply brilliant direct hit for a run out. This left Outwood on 128 for 3 and a superb victory. Let's hear you oo oo oo oo can you feel The Force

Winners again. Highlights, Horley were 91 for 5. Linke a remarkable debut two wickets both straight bowled, Philippa got a wicket with a caught and bowled, and Ali got 2 one caught by Linke and one bowled off the last ball of the innings. Maggie had a great debut at wicket keeper and poor Emma has a ball imprint on her shin.

Batting Maggie got a four as did Debbie, but we were 18 for 3, then Ali (38 not out) and Becky (23 not out) powerful hitting saw us home with 5 overs to spare. A fantastic effort xx

From 9 for 4 to 100 for 4 quite some recovery, brilliant batting by Philippa 40 retired and well supported by Ali (24 no) with a 90 run partnership. Setting Outwood a target of 101 to win in 16 overs. They reached it in 10 with Ali taking the only wicket clean bowling their opener who appeared to fall asleep waiting for the bowl to land. Some great fielding and good positive attitude from everyone even if Outwood felt they were playing the Chuckle brothers at times. And yes we lost the game but won a dog.

Well done everyone on a fantastic inaugural win. Great bowling effort from everyone, really tight fielding, excellent wickets for Philippa and Becky and smart throw in for the run out. Then a great chase down of 102 with 2 overs to spare. Fabulous platform from Ellie, Maggie and Rebecca, and then Amanda and Ali saw us over the line. Thank you Ed for umpiring, Tim for such positive coaching and to Maggie, Philippa and everyone else who provided grub at Grub Street.
