👋🏻Hi, I’m Liv.

If you’re new here, I thought it was time I properly introduced myself.

Over the last few months you’ve seen a lot of Studio 22 on this page.
>The equipment.
>The coaching.
>The new dumbbells.
>The occasional chaos caused by Mat 😂

But behind all of that is me.

I’m a Strength and Conditioning Coach and Sports Massage Therapist, and I help people build strength, confidence and trust in their bodies.

🩼 Some of my clients come to me after injury and need support rebuilding strength safely.

💪🏻Some want to feel stronger and more capable in everyday life.

💉Some are navigating weight loss with GLP-1 medications and want to protect their muscle, mobility and long term health while they do it.

Most aren’t athletes.

They’re busy people juggling work, family, injuries, confidence, changing (and age-ing) bodies and all the other demands that come with real life.

The thing I love most about coaching isn’t the equipment, the programmes or the progress trackers (Although I love a good spreadsheet 📈)

It’s hearing things from my clients like:

🤍 “I feel stronger than I have in years.”

🤍 “I never thought I’d be able to do that.”

🤍 “I feel confident enough to continue on my own.”

Those moments matter.

Because strength isn’t just about lifting weights. It’s about building confidence that carries over into the rest of your life. And Studio 22 is where that happens 🙌🏻

The goal was never to build a gym. The goal was to build a place where people feel comfortable enough to start and supported enough to progress.

Three months in, we’ve coached clients in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s, helped people return from injury, having babies, build confidence in the gym and achieve things they genuinely didn’t think they could do.

And honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how it’s going 🤍

🏋️‍♀️ We already have a full dumbbell rack here at Studio 22… and honestly, I can’t fault it.

BUT 👀

Musclesquaduk recently asked us to test their Elite Adjustable Dumbbells, so this week I put them through their paces during an entire dumbbell push session.

If I’m honest, I’ve always slightly avoided adjustable dumbbells in the past. I assumed they’d feel clunky and I wasn’t massively sold on the look of them.

First impressions though?

✔️ Really easy to adjust
✔️ 2kg increments all the way up to 32kg
✔️ Surprisingly comfortable grip
✔️ Massive space saver for home gyms

One thing I genuinely noticed straight away was the handle design. Because it’s not cold bare metal like many fixed dumbbells, it was actually much kinder on my Raynaud’s than I expected.

I also really liked the 2kg jumps between weights. It feels much closer to the progression options you’d get in a commercial gym and gives a little more flexibility than larger jumps between dumbbells.

Today was just a first use, so I’m looking forward to trying more movement patterns and different training sessions with them over the next few weeks.

One thing Mat is really good at as a coach is meeting people where they are.

Whether that’s someone returning after injury, somebody completely new to the gym, a teenager building confidence, or someone wanting to keep strong and capable as they get older, he adjusts the coaching to the person in front of him.

No ego. No copy and paste programmes. Just good coaching, real conversations, and helping people move forward safely and confidently 💪🏻

Different ages, goals, experience and starting points. BUT, every single one of them is showing up and investing in their future self.

Because strength training isn’t about chasing perfection or trying to turn back the clock. It’s about building a body that supports the life you want to live. For all our clients this is about living with more confidence, energy, resilience and independence…both today, and tomorrow and all the days that come after

Hello 2026 👋🏻
And hello to anyone new around here.

I’m Liv, a strength coach and sports massage therapist with over 8 years’ experience in the exercise industry. I’m also a mum to three teens and tweens.

I’m someone who didn’t start strong, but built strength over time, in the gym and in life.

I help people who want to feel stronger, more capable, and more confident in their bodies. Not just for aesthetics, but for real life. For busy lives and demanding jobs. For hormone changes, injuries, niggly joints, and wavering confidence.

I offer support that actually fits around them, rather than forcing themselves to fit into someone else’s plan.

I’m big on doing things properly. Training with intent, fuelling enough, and playing the long game. No extremes, no nonsense, and no shrinking yourself to meet someone else’s idea of what “healthy” should look like.
