It was a pleasure to welcome Sascha to the FIH World Camp last week!

We first met Sascha when he attended a Futures Sports Camp as a young player. Since then, his hockey journey has taken him all the way to representing Belgium at the U21 European Championships! 🇧🇪

Sascha shared his knowledge and experience with our players—and even challenged some of our goalkeepers to a shootout!

It’s always inspiring to reconnect with former campers and see them giving back to the next generation. Thank you, Sascha!

Our Elite Camp has been packed with high-quality coaching, intense training, and plenty of fun!

Players have been challenged to take their game to the next level through technical skills, tactical awareness, match play, and specialist coaching—all in a positive, supportive environment.

The commitment, energy, and attitude from every player have been outstanding, and we’re excited for more great sessions as the week continues!

We’re still smiling about all the fun from last week! 🌎🏑💦 From cheering through World Cup matches and hitting the pitch for hockey, to cooling off with epic water fight nights, Week 2 was packed with excitement.

Most importantly, it was a week filled with laughter, new friendships, and memories that will last long after camp is over. ❤️ Thanks to everyone who made it so special—we can’t wait for more adventures together!

We’re excited to welcome Ieuan Davies and Paul to the coaching team at our Elite Camp and Talent Academy Camp next week, where they’ll be helping players prepare.

Ieuan Davies is Director of MAD Hockey CIC and a high-performance hockey coach with over 15 years of experience. A former Premier Division and European indoor/outdoor player for Cardiff & Met HC, he holds a Doctorate in Sports Coaching and is passionate about helping players develop their skills, decision-making, and confidence through evidence-informed coaching.

Joining him is Paul, who is currently Lead Coach at Cambridge Talent Academy and Assistant Girls’ Squad Coach. He also coaches Cambridge City HC Men’s 1s and multiple U18 teams as Assistant Head of Youth Hockey, bringing extensive experience of developing players across the talent pathway.

Together, they’ll create a challenging and enjoyable learning environment, helping players develop their technical skills, game understanding, confidence, and decision-making as they prepare for the Talent Academy Cup.

Let’s get ready for those 1v1s! 💙🏑
