Strong arms rescue the boats as the River Nene floods the jetty and launching of any boats is unlikely today. Well done to all, the members helping out this morning.

Boats are rescued and repositioned to stay safe and secure due to the River Nene being in flood once more. Great effort from members 🙌👏👍👊.

A MASSIVE WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH!

Two brilliant performances from Jon Heaney and Chris Jackson at the British Indoor ERG Championships.

The whole club is very impressed with your achievements and especially proud are the coaches, who've helped them get to the levels they are now reaching. We all know how much effort it takes and what you have put in to get here, but we know there is more to come.

What can we say, Jon Heaney absolutely smashed it! He sat patiently at the back waiting for things to kick off, but on the green light he did what he does best and then finished first in his category, 12 seconds ahead of his closest rival with a time of 7:07.7.

Brilliant performance and as usual Jon took it all in his stride, even his celebration on the podium (see Facebook post for the video).

Backing Jon up was Chris Jackson (who is in his first 12 months of rowing remember) with a time under 7 minutes, which is excellent, great work and we know he will push on from here!

All in all a fantastic performance by both guys and you can be super proud of yourselves, well done from us all at OTRC.

As a club we strive to ensure all current and new members have the opportunity to row as often as possible and to do this we're always looking at opportunities to improve the facilities for our young and more seasoned rowers and welcome new rowers. You too, could help support our local community club at no cost to you.
