Oswestry BC was represented at Shropshire League Doubles Tournament at the weekend with Craig & Matt H, Jay & Howard and Matt J.
With Matt J and partner drawn in the same group as Craig and Matt H, both pairings lost against strong opposition in their first 2 matches. When it come to the head to head, it was close, 15-14, 14-15 before Matt & Craig took the 3rd set 15-10.
Jay and Howard were in a group of 5 pairing, winning 4 and losing 1 of their matches to come 2nd in their group, just missing out on going through as best runners up.
All 3 pairings were put in the Plate, with Jay and Howard getting to the final, which was an epic 3 setter, with Jay and Howard coming runners up to the pairing they beat in their group.
