I'm writing running newsletters to keep myself entertained. No really I am because up until a week ago I could count the number of subscribers on er just two hands.

But I am really enjoying it. And it's helping me focus some thoughts and I might just in the not to distant future get my website sorted and add a blog to it because 1996 called and I'm here for it.

Fancy reading my newsletter it comes out on a Monday (normally) and I will offer my services as a running coach, but I also share my thoughts about running done Unhurriedly!

Everybody’s posting about autumn and even Christmas. Yet here I am with a post run aloe drink and cherry cola ice pop like I’m on holiday still.

There’s plenty of time for pumpkin spice and Santa.

Feeling every single one of these PBs today.

But before you get too hyped about these achievements let me tell you I’ve not long been using this app to log my gym work outs (I’ve been trialing it to understand how I can use it with my clients when I’m not with them. I’m normally very much a pen and a notebook girl!).

So what it’s cheering me on for as a PB quite often is me logging an exercise for the first time.

Consider this your Wednesday morning reminder that social media is nothing more than a loud, noisy, slither of the highly curated parts of our lives we’re willing to share. One post doesn’t always tell the full story.

To really illustrate this, moments before I wrote this caption I was emptying Disco Dave and Felix’s litter tray. They also appear to have achieved a PB or two in there…

I’ve included the cat tax for the algo (not the litter tray, for decency…)

August photo dump!

Not as many runs as I planned thanks to the non stop heatwaves which brought on nausea, a loss of appetite and many headaches.

But I still found time to take pictures of sheep skeletons!

Dave the latest addition to the Unhurried Running family went to the vets for the first time. She’s their new favourite.

Chased a partial solar eclipse up one of my favourite hills!

Accidentally looked like Count Binface - I’m not angry at this!

Danced in the rain in the garden.

Run snacks are back!

Found comfort in an old friend.

Plogging with Run Chums

Chased some hot air balloons up another hill!

I can’t explain why somebody screwed a plastic llama on this post. But again, not angry.

Another one of my favourite routes!

Disco Dave is available for all your parties. Plays all the hits but won’t take requests.
Very reasonable rates - she’s got medical bills to pay because at 13 years old with previous thyroid issues no insurance would cover her thyroid meds…

Felix has started to get a bit braver again and likes to welcome me home from my runs!

Self Esteem supporting Pulp at Wythenshawe Park on Friday. I don’t think I’m over this yet..

I love these cows.

They currently live in the field opposite my house and I like to think they’re cheering for me as I head out for a run and when I come back.

I know in reality they’re actually wonder why I don’t have food for them.

Anyway - who has enjoyed a run in the rain today!!!!

Some runs are about community. We’re lucky to run in a really lovely part of the country, it’s only fair we do our bit to keep it that way!

3 bags full! Run Chums inaugural litter pick! Thanks to Oswestry Scouts for lending us the pickers.

Fancy it?

Fancy it?

There are definitely worse places to experience a solar eclipse! Tomorrow we're walking up Rodney's Pillar and we'd love you to join us...

If you're sitting on a coveted London Marathon place the best thing you can do now is speak to a real life human running coach.
Most of us coaches are more than happy to sit down and figure out your first steps and beyond.

If this is your first marathon it's really easy to get distracted by what everybody else is doing, the fancy new kit, the carbon shoes, the noise around who is and isn't a "proper runner" (spoiler alert - there is no such thing as a proper runner!)

I've put together a one-off session to help people figure out what to do first - you get a 45 minute call with me. It's £45 and at the end of it you'll have a 4 week action plan to get you on your marathon journey.

Comment here to book on.
