How to choose right trainers for you and your needs:
•Distance and speed
•Body Weight
•Terrain/surface
•Support(ankle)
Distance will determine how much cushioning you’ll need. Further you go more cushioning you’ll need. Their will be big difference between 5km track shoe and marathon(Ironman) weight comes in account too. Primary focus should be on comfort for long distance over weight. Trainers are light anyways so we talking 100g difference(big difference if you are pro athlete and you nailed everything else ie body weight and training) putting lightest shoe on long distance you’ll pay for it at the end of marathon with fatigued and painful feet
•Body weight is big factor how much and what kind of cushioning you’ll need. If you don’t weigh 68kg I wouldn’t look what Mo trainers is running in. If you do defo worth mirroring the athlete you admire.
Terrain/surface shoe sole, stiffness and support will vary from track, cross country to pavement surface. Track-spikes and light shoe, cross country-more grip and support, pavement/road-more cushioning
Ankle support-go to your nearest trainers shop and do gate analysis, that will determine if your ankles roll in or not and if you need support or neutral trainer.
If you want to look good buy Prada😜
