This is a hard post to make. We are finally ceasing all training. The huge increases in costs of venues and fuel meant we would have to push up all our prices significantly. This coupled with the huge increases in administration involved with running Bikeability courses and the costs associated with materials and admin for Bikeability meant we could no longer maintain a family friendly price.

This was always meant to be a venture to bring excellent quality training at a family friendly price. We have had many happy years with all our old customers and would like to thank everyone for their support.

As a way of saying good bye here is a video of our last learn to ride student, George who is 2.5 years old learning to ride a bike without stabilisers. Taken in May 2022 in Blackburn. He can self start and go in any direction he likes.

Further to our earlier announcement below, we have further decided to halt all training in the Greater Manchester area. This is mainly due to the incoming congestion charge (CAZ charge) coming into the whole of Greater Manchester, as well as spiraling fuel costs. The Greater Manchester clean air zone (congestion) charge alone at its current proposed level makes all training unviable without significant price hikes to levels we are not happy to charge parents or schools.

This goes for private, large organisation and school courses too within GM. Courses in all other areas are unaffected by this.

We will keep this under review as the CAZ scheme is currently under review. But for now as it could come in with virtually no notice we cannot take a booking which we may have to later cancel once the congestion charge comes in.

We are sorry for this announcement, but with a bit of luck we will be back in Greater Manchester soon.

Due to recent increases in administration costs of running Bikeability courses, we have taken the decision to suspend all private Bikeability courses. We simply cannot offer these courses at what we consider to be affordable or good value to parents. We would like to thank everyone that has taken part in these courses in the past. Instead we are now offering bespoke cycling lessons following many of the old Bikeability scheme outcomes and tweaked to your needs, but without certificates/books/badges.

We are proud to announce all our training services are now back. However, due to unprecedented demand all our courses are now fully booked until Easter 2022. In late Feb 2022 we will release Easter training dates and beyond. These will be announced here when they come available. We would like to thank all our customers old and new for supporting us through the various challenges the lock downs posed to us.

We are sorry to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to offer private courses until around the middle of September 2021. Later we hope to resume Bikeability to private individuals in October half term. We will announce on here once we are in a position to resume private lessons.

With lockdown restrictions set to end on Monday we are now working hard to re-open for public lessons. At the moment we have no firm dates, but these will appear in due course. We are expecting to be back in late August/early Sept. We will announce on here once we are set to re-open and which locations are available as they come back online. We look forward to seeing you all again very soon

Corona Virus and our training update - 14 June 2021. Owing to the extension of lockdown announced tonight by the government we are sorry to announce we will not be able to re-open in July. We will continue to monitor the announcements from the Government and as soon as we are given the okay we will re-open. For now we are aiming for mid August. Until restrictions are lifted we are unfortunately not able to take any advance bookings. Keep an eye on this page for any updates as they happen.

We are sorry to announce we are having to continue to suspend all private training while social distancing, business lockdowns and other restrictions are in place due to Covid. Looking at the official government road maps out of lockdown we hope to be back offering rides and training in time for the summer holidays in July. Keep an eye on this page for new information as it happens

We would like to thank everyone that has been in touch for lessons. As it stands we are now hoping to get started again over the Easter holidays. This will depend on government advice and the phased lifting of the current lockdown. But for now we have to remain closed. We look forward to seeing you all again soon on our courses and rides.

23/12/2020

Due to ongoing Covid restrictions we are unable to offer private lessons at the current time. We hope to be offering private lessons from the end of February 2021.
