Last night the Smashers took on the Saddleworth Panthers in a friendly and came away with a 12.5–5 win! 🔥

A brilliant game against such a lovely team, with some tight fielding and great bowling from Saddleworth throughout. We’re really grateful to the Panthers for travelling all the way from Saddleworth to play us!

Also a huge thank you to our two umpires for travelling to our home pitch, we really appreciate you! ❤️

Another strong performance from the Smashers with some brilliant fielding and teamwork throughout. A few of the girls stepped into new positions for the game and did an amazing job! 👏🏽

Huge congratulations to Alison our Team MVP, for her brilliant batting and fielding and Charlotte our Captains MVP for a brilliant all round performance and fabulous backstopping!

Well thats a wrap on saddleworth panthers first ever league season! To say we are proud of our team is an understatement! Started training just 1 month before our first EVER league match as a team. We where well and truly thrown into the deep end. But the progress thats been made in this time has been phenomenal! We unfortunately didnt get the win today but compared to our first game against the same team, there was a stark difference in game play! Congratulations on winning our team POM also Janine for your fantastic work in Mid, stopping many scores and great batting! Here's to the future of our team! 🥰👏🖤

Fantastic show of teamwork during our 2 league matches yesterday! Some real improvements being shown by panthers! And the team chose our Abby as our player of the match for her amazing skills as bowler (even when put into a new position last minute) and amazing hits and supportive coaching throughout! Let's go! 🥰🥳
