Magnolias vs League Leaders M and A Majestic
Final Score: 20–29 (Loss)

Magnolias faced a tough challenge tonight against the top-of-the-league side, and although the final score was 20–29, the team can be incredibly proud of their effort and determination from start to finish.

Right from the first whistle, the girls fought relentlessly against a very strong defensive unit, showing great resilience and team spirit throughout. Despite the pressure, we continued to push forward and create scoring opportunities, refusing to give up.

Isabella and Lily worked tirelessly in the circle, finding space and linking up well under pressure to keep the scoreboard ticking. Their movement and communication were key in keeping us in the game during tight phases.

Jess stepped into the Centre position and made an immediate impact. She brought energy, control, and great decision-making in both attack and defence, helping to drive the ball through the court with confidence. Her outstanding performance earned her Coach’s Player—a well-deserved recognition!

A huge highlight was the return of Evie, who made her comeback after three months away from the game. Slotting back into defence, she showed exactly why she’s such a valuable part of the team, making a noticeable difference even without being fully match-fit. It was brilliant to have her back on court.

Everyone gave it their all tonight—playing their socks off in what was one of our toughest matches of the season. The scoreline didn’t reflect the heart, fight, and teamwork shown by every single player.

Heads held high—this was a performance to be proud of!

CP Movers 29 - 33 Wyre U13 Blue

Another fabulous team performance tonight against a strong physical Wyre team.

Players player was Lucy who showed her usual pace and movement as C and GA, she made some brilliant passes into the circle while playing Centre.

Coaches player was a tough choice again, as everyone played so well, but we’ve chosen one from each end of the court. Priya was strong in the attacking circle today, moving well and showing great accuracy with her shots. At the other end, Flo was exceptional, marking a girl who was a good deal taller than her and making lots of important interceptions.

As always we’re very proud of the whole team 💚💛💚

Mega Stars 26 - 15 Salford Black

Another fantastic win today for Mega Stars against Salford Black. It took the first couple of quarters to warm up and get in the swing of the game and we finished the second quarter only 2 ahead. However, the girls went in to the third quarter with such determination and managed to pull away, ending the third quarter 6 ahead. The girls showed some lovely teamwork today, supporting each other and reading the game brilliantly. Well done girls 💚💛

🏆🏆 Players player - Tilly 🏆🏆

Tillys shooting was phenomenal today (as always), getting shots in from the edge of the shooting circle. Well done Tilly 😊

🏆🏆 Coaches player - Violet🏆🏆

All the girls were brilliant today but Violet stood out. Her marking was brilliant, putting endless pressure on her opponent. She also played Centre today and her speed was incredible, supporting her team mates up and down the court. Well done Violet 😊

Chaddy Park Mighties - 28 Rochdale Black - 10

It was a very slow start tonight, Rochdale are a physical opponent and they contested really well in the 1st half, drawing level. The Mighties kept their composure and their confidence and lets their speed, fitness and skill do the talking in the 2nd half.

🏆Players player was Abbie, who despite playing in attack made a significant number of defensive gains. She also showed real skill with her feeding into the shooters🏆

It was very difficult to call our coaches player tonight. All of our defenders pulled off great interceptions, Ava had a stand out shooting performance and every single player put 100% effort in. But…. With her best performance of 2025!

🏅 Coaches player was Anja and I don’t really know where to start. Exceptional defensive performance with plenty of gained ball, vision and composure when feeding our shooters and an incredible level of maturity to suggest a switch up in Q4 🏅

💚 well done mighties 💛

Magpies 21 : 20 Trafford Purple

What an exciting and hard-fought game for Magpies as they took on Trafford Purple in a thrilling contest that ended in our favour!

The team started strong and dominated the first three quarters, building up a commanding 10-goal lead thanks to sharp attacking play and rock-solid defence. Every player worked tirelessly across the court, showing fantastic energy, focus, and teamwork.

In the final quarter, Trafford came back fighting with a determined surge, narrowing the gap goal by goal. But our team stayed composed under pressure, digging deep to hold on for a nail-biting one-goal win.

Sayuni was a standout in defence, truly coming into her own as Goal Keeper. Her arms-over pressure and well-timed interceptions—especially stepping in on Trafford’s shooter—played a crucial role in slowing their comeback. It’s clear she’s embracing the GK position with confidence and skill, earning her the Coach’s Player award.

In attack, the unit worked beautifully together, especially in supporting Ava, who has just returned to playing. It was great to see the whole team rally around her and help build attacking momentum.

Up front, Claudia delivered a fantastic performance at Goal Shooter. Her movement, accuracy, and composure under the post were excellent—proof that her practice sessions are really making a difference. A well-deserved Player’s Player for her. Well done, team!

Magnums 18:31 Denton

An exciting game against Denton today. Whilst they came out strong, it took us a little time to find our rhythm against them.

Our second and third quarters were strong, and we only scored one less than Denton on those quarters.

Lots of good work from the players today, it was great to see some of the defensive work we’ve been working on in training coming into practice.

I was really proud of the whole team for a great team effort.

Players Player (and joint Coach’s Player): Eliza and was at full pelt as GA the whole game. Her passing around the circle showed great team work and her shooting was fantastic.
👏 👏 👏

Coach’s Player: Isla
Isla ended up covering GK/GD as we were down a couple of defenders. She made some great interceptions, picked up loose balls and boxed out the GS as we’ve been practicing in training.
👏 👏 👏

Magpies 6 32 Rochdale

Today’s match was a true test of character for our U12s team, who were left a player short from the start. A huge thank you to Emilie for stepping in at short notice – your help was very much appreciated and showed real team spirit!

From the first whistle, it was an uphill battle. Being one player down meant the team had to work extra hard to cover the court, and it was often difficult to find free players under pressure. This unfortunately led to several held ball calls, and we were punished for it more than once. Despite this, the girls showed real grit and determination.

There were moments where heads could have dropped, but the team kept pushing, supporting one another, and showing great resilience even as the scoreboard went against us. They never gave up, and that fighting spirit is something to be proud of.

Isabella, who took on the demanding Centre position, impressed with her work rate and leadership on court. Her consistent effort and refusal to give up earned her the Coach’s Player player award. -Jess showed good team spirit playing out of her usual position keeping the team going.

It may not have been our day on the scoreboard, but the team showed courage, teamwork, and determination – all the qualities we value most. Heads held high, girls – onwards and upwards! 💪👏🏐

Magnolias 26: 4 Dominoes purple
What a game from our U12s team today – they truly brought their A-game from the first whistle to the final pass!

Defensively, the team was rock solid. There were fantastic interceptions across the court, with our backline reading the game beautifully and cutting off attacking plays before they could develop. The pressure never let up, making it difficult for the opposition to gain any momentum.

In the midcourt, Isabella was a force to be reckoned with. She worked tirelessly, covering every inch of the court, constantly intercepting and disrupting the opposing team’s flow. Her energy and determination set the tone for the whole team – it was no surprise she was voted Players’ Player today. A truly well-deserved honour!

Our shooters were on point as well, working together seamlessly in the circle. Their communication and teamwork stood out, always supporting each other and creating space to make those crucial shots count. It was fantastic to see such chemistry and unselfish play.

Special mention to Amelia, our Coach’s Player, who showed textbook marking throughout the game. Her positioning, timing, and focus in the circle were exceptional, keeping their shooters under constant pressure.

An all-round excellent performance from every player – great teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. A very proud day for the U12s! 👏💪🏐

Well done, team!

Attack worked well together with great timing of passes in and movement in the circle. The shots kept flying in. Defence working tirelessly, constantly on their players. CP Movers 27 - 33 Bolton Bolts

Wow what an exciting game! The girls were amazing yet again. We stayed within 1 goal of Bolton (who are currently top of the table) until into the last quarter, when tired legs kicked in after yesterday’s tournament.

🏆 Players player was Violet.

🏆 Coaches player was Flo.

Our defence was amazing today, and this is well deserved by them both. We’re also really proud of the rest of the team, as always, they all stepped up against tough opposition today and played brilliantly. 💛💚💛
