🌙 Eid Mubarak to all our players and families celebrating from everyone at Hollinwood F.C. 💙💛

We hope you all have a brilliant day full of celebrations, laughs and enough food to keep you sidelined until pre-season. 😂

Also, just so everyone is clear… coaches cannot be bribed for more game time.

However, if a suspicious tray of samosas, kebabs or baklava accidentally finds its way to training, we can’t be held responsible for what happens next. 🤝🤣

Not every child develops at the same speed.
Some shine early.
Some take longer.
Some suddenly click when nobody expects it.

That’s why comparison can be so damaging.

Development isn’t linear.
Confidence matters.
Enjoyment matters.
Support matters.

The goal should never be who’s best at 9, 11 or 13.

The goal is helping young players stay in love with the game long enough to reach their potential.

Football is a marathon, not a sprint.

Our U13s Bears coach Matt Noble and Tex Healy from the U9s Devils have somehow talked themselves into doing a 25 mile hike around the Lake District to raise money for Macmillan… because clearly parenting and grassroots football wasn’t tiring enough already 😂⛰️

Seriously though, it’s a brilliant cause and an unbelievable effort from the pair of them 💚

If anyone can spare a few quid to help them along the way (and repair their legs after), please donate and give it a share 👏

Brilliant news for the club tonight… one of our U8s Tigers has officially signed for Burnley Academy 🔥⚽

To say everyone at Hollinwood is proud would be an understatement… especially Segun, who’s been smiling like he’s just signed the contract himself 😂

But honestly, what an achievement for a top little lad who works his socks off every week 👏

Keep listening, keep learning and go absolutely tear it up little man — this is only the beginning 🧡

Sadly, no fairytale ending on Sunday, but what a group of lads the U9s Devils are!

They stood tall, battled for every ball, and never stopped fighting against a strong side. Losing a Cup Final hurts, especially when you were the better side on the day, but this team has done themselves proud every step of the way.

Keep believing, boys - this is just one chapter of the journey. Bigger things ahead.

Huge well done to our U7s Wolves on completing their very first season together 🐺⚽️

It’s been a season full of ups, downs, lessons and plenty of proud moments along the way. The lads came heartbreakingly close in their Cup Final, narrowly missing out on penalties, but they should all hold their heads high after an incredible effort.

This is only the beginning for this team and there’s so much to build on going into U8s next season. Keep listening, keep learning and keep enjoying your football lads - the future is bright 💙

Massive performance from the U13s last night against Athletico Middleton up at Hopwood Hall, running out 4-1 winners and blowing the title race wide open again.

It's not easy playing out of position for the first time. It's even more difficult doing it against the title rivals but our little southerner channelled his inner Paolo Maldini.

First time as a left back, helped keep the opposition at bay, never pulled out of battles despite being one of the smallest.

Amazing effort and thoroughly deserved MOTM 👏🏻
