For the right player, it can stretch them, build confidence and speed up development.

But for others, it can knock confidence, reduce game time and take the fun out of football.

That’s why there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

⚽ Grassroots football isn’t glamorous — and that’s exactly why it matters.

It’s muddy boots, freezing mornings and rushed lifts to away games.

It’s nervous parents on the touchline, volunteers giving up their evenings and coaches replying to group chats long after training has finished.

But it’s also where confidence grows.
Where friendships are made.
Where children learn to win, lose, support each other and keep going.

Most of the memories won’t come from trophies.

They’ll come from the people, the journeys and the weekends spent together.

Grassroots football is more than a game. It’s our community. 💚⚽

The U10s Devils are completing a sponsored walk to raise money for their team, with every penny going straight back into helping the lads.

Martin is part of Limehurst Lion Rugby team who are based at Hollinwood Cricket Club, they are hosting a colour run this weekend and he has extended his invite to anyone at Hollinwood FC that would like to go down and join in.
