Congratulations to Sean Westley on being named our Player of the Month for May.

After returning from a long-term injury, Busted has produced a series of outstanding performances at the heart of the defence, helping the team finish the season strongly and secure the league title.

For a centre-back, his attacking contributions have been just as impressive in May alone:

Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be for the lads today as our season came to an end in the Northern Final.

Football can be cruel at times, but this result doesn’t define what has been an incredible season for this group.

🏆 The team is in.

✅ For the first time in a few weeks, we head into a game with a near full strength squad available, and that’s a huge boost ahead of today’s final.

🤕 Duane Price, Benjamin Ebanks and Lennox Wilson have all passed fitness tests and are available for selection.

💪🏻 A season’s worth of hard work has led to this moment. One final game. One final opportunity.

This season has been built on commitment, sacrifices, friendships and a desire to keep improving every single week.

At the start of the season we brought in a lot of players from Walsall MVF into the Oldbury club and when others said it wouldn’t work.

It has become one big Oldbury family. Both within the 11’s and the Friday club. They have brought into everything we’ve done here. More importantly they have transformed their lives losing a lot of weight, becoming fitter physically on the pitch and mentally off it.

Together we’ve become MFFL West League Champions, MFFL Cup Quarter Finalists and earned the opportunity to compete in the Northern Final. An achievement that every player, the coach and even our players affiliated to the Friday club should be incredibly proud of.

Today is the final game of the season. One last tough challenge.

Whatever the result, this team has already created memories that will last a lifetime.

Let’s enjoy the occasion, leave everything out on the pitch and finish the season the Oldbury way.

MFFL West League Champions vs The MFFL Cup Champions.

One more game. The two midland sides won their respective groups in the northern branch and done the midlands proud winning the knock out games to reach the finals.

After an incredible season that saw us crowned MFFL West Champions, attention now turns to the biggest game of the season.

A place in the Northern Final has been earned through hard work, commitment and a team spirit that has carried this group all season long.

Standing in the way of another trophy are a strong Sandwell Social side, who have enjoyed an excellent debut season of their own and will provide a tough test on finals day.

For Oldbury, this is an opportunity to finish the season in the best way possible and add another piece of silverware to what has already been a memorable campaign.

The First Team knew only a win would secure the title and delivered when it mattered most. A fantastic performance under pressure saw them crowned MFFL West Champions.

🔴⚪ Oldbury Lions 3-4 Castlevale
🏆 MFFL Shield Final

Heartbreak for the Lions in the Shield Final. After a hard-fought contest and a tremendous effort from everyone involved, the game was decided by the finest of margins. The lads can be incredibly proud of reaching a cup final against a brand new Castlevale side who are easily a top end prem side.
