NACC Rides This Week

Loch Creran Tuesday night road social. Meeting at the Pink Shop in Benderloch at 6:30pm. The club representative will be Iain McDonald

Tuesday night MTB social will be in Fearnoch forest, mainly gravel route with a few single track sections. Meeting in the forestry car park at 7pm, the club representative for the ride will be Shane Wasik.

Thursday Thunder 6:30pm Connel Bridge - Fast group ride, if enough people we will split in to a few groups based on speed. The route will be from Connel bridge up and round Loch Creran. The club representative will be Andre Paul Van.

Please have fully charged front and rear lights as it will be dark by the end of the rides!

NACC Rides This Week

Tuesday Road Social around Loch Creran meeting at the Benderloch Shop at 6:30pm, the club representative for the ride will be Iain McDonald.

Tuesday MTB Social will be around the Oban trails, meeting in the Corran Halls car park at 6:30pm, the club representative for the ride will be Shane Wasik.

Kilmore to Kilninver 10 Mile flat TT meeting at the Kilmore hall. The route is from Kilmore to just past the school in Kilninver and back again. The perfect TT for anyone wanting to try one for the first time or getting back to them. First rider off at 7pm, contact Iain McDonald to sign up!

**NACC Summer Specials**

Loch Creran Road Summer Special - Tuesday 6:30PM.
Brian's Pizza at Tralee Bay Holidays after the cycle approx 8pm. Meeting at the Pink shop in Benderloch at 6:30pm for a loop round Loch Creran finishing up with a pizza and drink. The club representative will be Iain McDonald.

Glen Coe Lochan MTB Summer Special- Tuesday 6PM Forestry Car Park.
The ride will start with a few mellow trails at Glencoe Lochan and can progress on to some more difficult ones depending on confidence levels. Finished off with a spin up the orbital to Clachaig Inn for a drink then back down the new cycle path. The club representative will be Shane Wasik.

Two-up TT - Thursday 6:30pm Benderloch School.
The route will be from Benderloch School up and round Loch Creran. If you need a partner, please contact Andre who will help to find someone. This ride will be purely for 'fun' and won't count towards the championship. The club representative will be Andre Paul Van.

The light is starting to fade so bright lights front and rear will be required on all evening rides, please check they are fully charged and working.

Tuesday night MTB Social will be in Sutherland's Grove, a mix of gravel forest roads and some excellent trails. Meeting in the forestry car park at 7pm, the club representative for the ride will be Shane Wasik.

Bright lights front and rear required for both night rides, please ensure they are charged.

Big thanks to Cycle Wild Scotland for making the trip out west to deliver Mountain Bike Leadership training for 6 candidates this weekend.

We spent some time in the classroom learning top tips on mechanical fixes, inspecting kit, and of course some time out on the bikes practicing leadership on a variety of terrain ⛰️🌲🌳

We all had a great time and learned new things 🚲 ❤️ Candidate assessments will take place later in the year once everyone completes log books of their rides, and gets their trail-side bike fixing skills super slick 👌

Having more British Cycling Trail Leader qualified volunteers will help expand the number of organised mountain biking opportunities and events in the area, which are in high demand.

This training would not have been possible without financial support from The Oban Sportive, Argyll and Bute Council’s Oban Common Good Fund, Ardchattan Community Council, and Scottish Sea Farms Ltd. Thank you! 🤩🚲
