Yesterday we took a small but dedicated team to the GBTSD National Championship’s held in Nottingham.
They both did a fantastic Job holding their own and making new friends along the way. Marcello once again achieved Gold 🥇in Sparring to retain his Title from last year, this time he was up against individuals that were 2 grades higher than him. Ned Stepped up into the Black Belt Group for the First time and performed well narrowly missing out on his forms against some experienced competitors he has taken away some great learns and we will get back to work in the Dojang.

14 Years Strong. 💥🥋

Today we celebrate 14 years of Bishopston Tang Soo Do — 14 years of training, growth, discipline, and community.

What started as a small club in 2012 has grown into something truly special. Over the years we’ve seen students take their very first class, earn black belts, build confidence, form friendships and grow within themselves.

Tang Soo Do is more than kicking and punching — it’s about:
• Building confidence
• Developing discipline
• Showing respect
• Creating lifelong friendships
• Growing stronger together

I’m incredibly proud of every student past and present who has been part of this journey. Your dedication is what makes Bishopston Tang Soo Do what it is today.

Thank you to all students, families, and supporters who have helped us reach this milestone. Here’s to many more years of training, learning, and growing together.

We send our deepest condolences to the Norris Family and Martial Arts Community who know and loved Chuck.

No doubt he will be visiting the Dojang in the Sky and getting back on the floor to train with his Original Instructor KCN Shin

Last night was a Special Moment for the Club…we got to present a very hard working individual his Black Belt!!!

Such a proud moment and it’s been a privilege and pleasure to watch this young lad grow up and face every challenge head on. Let the new lessons begin as you enter the Dan Ranks Mr Collet. Well done!!

Later in the year he will be officially presented his Dan Certificate in front of KCN Strong & BKCN Khan at the European Dan Clinic.

What a successful day for the small team that went to the 2025 GBTSD Regional Championship we everyone bringing home some great memories and a little somethibg. Even SBN earning some Chocolate along with his fellow Judges. Thoroughly enjoyed the day seeing everyone and the amazing energy from the Tiny Tigers!!
Also we had our first entry into the team form with a joint club effort from the BFF’s
& Frome Valley they worked through a tie breaker with a very creative effort and earned 3rd place in the black belt division

Proud to have been part of this family for 25+ Yrs.
Was a great evening with our families and friends of many years. It was great to hear from Grandmaster Khan and our senior masters who were there from the start of GBTSD and how we continue to do our best in keeping Cho Dae KCN Shin’s vision alive. 🇬🇧

Yesterday, one of our own students Ned at just 15 years old — stepped up and tested for their black belt. Watching years of hard work, discipline, and growth come together in that moment was incredible. Earning a black belt isn’t just about skill — it’s about perseverance, character, and heart. So proud of how far he has come and was privileged to watch him leave everything out the floor yesterday. Now we must wait for the offical results 🥋💪

We are very excited to announce that to celebrate 40 years of Great Britain Tang Soo Do, we will be hosting a celebratory evening full of fun, laughter and memories!

This will include a three course Indian meal (certain soft drinks are included), an awards ceremony followed by a party.
We hope you can attend to join us on this historic celebration! (p.s., the hall can accommodate up to 1,000 people - let's make it happen!)
Event Details:
Saturday 1 November 2025
Main Hall, Sports Connexion, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, CV8 3FL
4pm onwards. Accurate timings to follow.
All attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Ticket prices are available on the link below.
Dress code:
All Masters and Instructors to be in formal dress (blues).
Everyone else - smart casual. Strictly no joggers, trainers or t-shirts.
Deadline for all applications will be 30 September 2025, no applications will be accepted after this date.
