🌟Huge congratulations to Dan Walker who has been selected to represent Team England at the McCullagh International Open Meet in Dublin at the end of February. 🌟
This selection is as a result of his achievements on the Swim England DiSE programme - a qualification that targets talented athletes through their Talent Pathway, who train and compete at the highest level within their sport. Dan was accepted onto the programme in September 2024.
Dan’s swimming journey:
Dan started at the age of 7 with Arnold Swimming Club and then worked his way through the squads at NOVA. Along the way he became a multiple County and Regional Champion in the 400m freestyle, 800m and 1500m in the pool and in Open Water competition, has competed in the last four Swim England and Aquatics GB Summer Championships and most recently at the Aquatics GB Senior British Championships at the Olympic pool in London in April 2025. All this before his 18th birthday!
This latest accomplishment is testament to Dan’s hard work, commitment and sacrifice over the last 11 years and we are extremely proud of his achievements.
We hope this is just the start of the next stage of his swimming career and wish him all the very best with all he does in the future, in and out of the water.
